The LARPingest leather coin purse

Destrier from House of Matriarch is perhaps the first leather scent I have ever not just tolerated but actually liked. It’s a kind of 360° immersive scent and absolutely immediate, with no lead-in or preamble. Imagine you are an overachieving LARPer, and you took three years of leatherworking classes so that you could make the perfect leather coin pouch to hang from your belt for this intensely anticipated festival you’ve been dying to attend. Even though it’s a tiny piece of a larger, more intricate costume, you want every detail absolutely perfect, from the tanning to the stitching to the embossing. You’ve spent so much time on this accessory that you’re smelling those tanning agents, those fats and oils and musks, even in your dreams now. And in waking life, too, even after the event, you are one with that leather coin purse, and you carry it with you everywhere you go, stuffed with cedar chips, sweet grasses, and soft moss…because you spent all your coins on those classes.

For me, it is a beautiful scent of leather, thick and brown leather.
In addition to creating this real perception of the scent of leather, we also have dry hay and the scent of wood. All this builds associations with horses, a stud, horse riding, harnesses, and a saddle. Such associations with this perfume are quite natural and, indeed, very real for me. There are no fecal notes in them (which can sometimes be found in other perfumes with a similar theme), I personally perceive them as a beautiful and strong scent of unique and very real leather. Aj ... I also have one more association. As a youngster, who often visited Italy - I had the opportunity to drive (then as a passenger or just sitting in them) my uncle's cars (he was and is a collector of various cars). I associate this smell with the smell in them - the skin in his several older vehicles (I just don't remember which ones because he had a lot of them, and now it's no comments). So, maybe you will associate it with the smell of some nice car that you drove.

Vacation at the Riding Stable

Who among you spent their childhood vacations at a riding stable?
1-2 weeks where parents needed a break from us :-)
Destrier is THE most beautiful memory of just such a stay at a riding stable.
The stables, the freshly cut hay, a leather saddle, a carefree and eventful time.
Right at the beginning, it smells of fresh hay that is just being spread in the stables.
Alongside this, the most natural leather I have ever sniffed comes into play. Here we prepare our horse for the day.
Afterward, various woods emerge. I can't say which types, but they harmonize perfectly with the hay and leather notes. We breathe in the fresh air in the stables early in the morning.
In the background, there's always a hint of horse coming through. Here we stroke our familiar companion's coat and encourage him.
As for longevity, it lasts for a whole day ride, the sillage is pleasant but not overwhelming. We ride in the wind through forest and meadow, and no one can stop us.
Destrier is a wonderfully natural and green leather scent with slightly animalistic undertones.
Is one ever too old for a vacation at the riding stable?
