This is a clear no for me
Absolutely conventional with one of those bitter fougere dry downs. I think this smells really bad period.

The Midnight Blue in the title Nuit d`Issey Bleu Astral is well chosen, as the eye already creates associations.
Bleu Astral evokes thoughts of a starry sky.
The cover promises: Vibrant, woody, leathery.
A new light in the night.
Short and concise, yet the announcements are fulfilled.
Vibrant - thus the night starts buoyantly with fresh lime and mild coriander - and one doesn't want to go to bed just yet.
Quickly slipping into a soft leather jacket and gazing at the gently shining moon that pleasantly illuminates the night.
Powdery amber hangs in the air, and one strolls along the avenue under shadowy old trees.
This private atmosphere is delightful, and the cozy silence.
The Great Bear stands faithfully in the firmament - this reliability is pleasing.

From Marunouchi to Shibuya on a rainy night...
Just like with the regular "Nuit": nocturnal, rainy freshness. Lime, a bit of menthol, coriander blends with cardamom for me, and after 10-20 minutes it becomes drier. Instead of standing outside in the fresh rain in the middle of the Marunouchi Business District, you head to the club in Shibuya or to a party in a colleague's loft. Just wet, now wind-dried, tanned leather, dried white grapefruit, freshly mown wet grass, turmeric, and coriander subtly in the background, all still fresh straight from the half-submerged herb garden. A typical 3 out of 4 seasons perfume, from long spring days to celebrated summer nights to meetings in autumn.
So it stays for another 1-2 hours, and after 3-4 hours overall, the amber slowly comes up, beautifully lightly smoked resin notes, cedarwood, a nice blend with the still fresh-herbaceous vibe in between, you’re celebrating indoors at an avant-garde art exhibition, but dreamily looking outside and watching the rain run down the glass balcony doors, hoping for the freshness from earlier, outside, when you were freer. Ah yes, just like with (Japanese ;)) whisky, I seem to have my houses & brands in fragrances that can hardly go wrong for me.
Miyake always gets me again, which is of course very pleasant for the price, they are always well-lasting for EDT and the prices. They always have that rainy tone that I love so much and a very unique freshness, becoming a bit more settled and classic towards the end, but still typically Japanese.

Fresh Air in the Night

The way the lime fades into the delicate leather is quite cool. The mix of freshness, leather, and wood is very good. The scent is subtle and doesn't scream perfume like a La Nuit / Bleu de ... I find it has no similarities with any of those fragrances,
Issey Miyake once again innovative, bold, not mainstream
The opening is just sooo beautiful and amazing. It could stay like this forever for me. But after 15 minutes, it starts to wobble a bit, drifting apart in a disordered way, less leather (leather tends to fade quickly when combined with other notes), it becomes woodier, I guess Javanol,
resinous, slightly balsamic, with less lime but the sweetness remains,
overall this fresh air accord of a starry night makes it exceptional for me even though it looks like a blue shower gel scent.
The opening is sooo great,
I like 5 sprays and up with it, depending on what I'm doing and where I'm going.

For a fragrance from the Shiseido Group, this Bleu Astral is unfortunately a bit lackluster. The lime at the beginning is a bit sharp, then sadly there's a yawning emptiness. For those who enjoy wearing Issey Miyake, this is certainly not the right bottle. Normally, the performance of the perfumers from this house is much more substantial. This one flattens into a boring, indefinable woodiness after just 10 minutes, which cannot be pleasing. It lacks performance. If you want a slightly different scent impression from Issey Miyake, you can try L'Eau Bleue d'Issey or the current L'Eau Majeure. Not this one; even a blind buy should be avoided, as you don't want to end up with nothing for the money, which is the big danger here.
This Astral completely fades away; after an hour, only a hint of bitterness is recognizable.
You can safely leave this one on the shelf next to the razor blades and shaving foam.
