It has become a dear habit for me to regularly buy the summer editions of Myake - in autumn.
Then they are reduced in price - and still carry a touch of summer with them - which I find very pleasant in autumn.
And Shades of Kolam fits very well into the autumn, as it is not overly fresh, but only slightly fruity due to the tart - sweet grapefruit - but which is tuned to autumn, due to the warm soft cardamom note.
But the focus is on centifoils - stuffed fragrant roses - which I also keep in my garden.
They captivate with their impressive flowers and their intense sweetish scent.
I would not have expected to find such a beautiful rose scent - although the box already shows a sea of flowers made of pink centifoils.
The rose scent is framed by light jasmine and light cedar.
The rice note gives Kolam another pleasant softness.
It's a pity that Kolam is only a summer edition, because you can wear it confidently all year round.
I also like the association with India - although Kolam has no oriental touches.
But the colourful India still has a ring to it
