A not conventional spicy, floral chypre

Etrango is a rich and perfumed unisex fragrance that J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin used for theirs name – trickily, a combination of the French “étrange” (strange) and the energised trace of the “tango.” as an avant-garde definition of a fragrance for modern Berli. This is a modernization of a fragrance launched in 1929 to capture the mood and complex energy of the German capital city. In this way, this strange and creative, aromatic fragrance will transit classic sophistication with a cutting edge,
The fragrance can be described as a spicy, floral chypre being dynamic and not classic in any linear sense presenting a complex dynamic of notes which feel at once sophisticated and raw just like Berlin has its quirks and characteristics. It is a perfume with a large sillage and character for someone who seeks a perfumed story to be told and is not afraid to leave a sign of their stay. However, given the rich, dense complexity with its various modes, this would be best suited to evening/spring 'chillout' and transitional seasons

A beautiful oriental rose-saffron fragrance

With Etrango, I also needed a certain amount of time to get used to this fragrance before I appreciated it. I don't know why, but it's becoming more and more common for me to be ambivalent about heavier fragrances at first, only to like them in the end. The performance is brutal. It lasts more than 24 hours on my skin with a really strong sillage.

The top note starts off oriental-spicy with lots of saffron, caraway, nutmeg, cloves, allspice and a certain leatheriness. The heart note offers rather dark floral notes of damask rose, garden carnations, rose geraniums, gardenias and some jasmine blossoms. A certain sweetness can also be detected. The base is definitely carried by a lot of cypriol/nagarmotha/nutgrass. This creates a fine smokiness, leather notes and a subtle earthy undertone, which is underlined by patchouli, oakmoss and vetiver. Woody, resinous aromas of cedar wood, oud and rosewood resonate in the background.

I really think that Etrango is a little under the radar, because it really can do something! Once again, I would like to thank Nick for the many bottlings.

Biography of a heartbreaker?

Etrango is beautiful.

He has everything that fascinates a woman/man in a man. A smile to kneel down to, humor that is really funny and on point, full, dark hair, a beautiful beard and gleaming white teeth. In short - a real woman/man magnet! The nice thing is - he doesn't know it. And this fact means that Etrango doesn't spread lover boy vibes - but natural attraction. No posing! No messing around! Just a natural, sexy guy! Sure, he's a southerner - an oriental brudi. He has a temper. But he knows that you can and must control it. You really have to dose it sparingly if you want to stay in the everyday game. And Etrango loves to be in the game! At every opportunity!

Etrango is successful and performs well.

It's rare that someone sells roses so successfully without being totally annoyed by rose overkill - no. His roses underline his other strengths. The top is full of saffrony, racy caraway, a heart of the aforementioned flattering rose and subtle carnation and finally a base that finishes with such masculine oakmoss and patchouli that it is very difficult to imagine this fragrance as unisex. I find it difficult to think of "Etrango" as a woman...

Etrango has come to stay.

Once you have fallen in love with the southern heartbreaker, he is faithful and wants to be with you. Etrango behaves perfectly if you treat yourself to it discreetly on your skin. You have to try him out. He actually has so much temperament that it can quickly become difficult. Even hoodies rarely come out of the machine after a wash without "Etrango". No. Once it's there - it wants to be seen - and it wants to stay.

Etrango is an all-round party animal.

Everyday life is not just his thing. Etrango loves special occasions where you can stand out. He feels comfortable in company, but also likes to dominate. He loves to attract attention, to flirt and then to beguile. It knows that it is in everyone's nose when its wearer is sweating. "Etrango" is an attractant and ideally suited for when you are on the prowl. A little more generously dosed here and you are bigger, stronger, broader and maximally masculine. Crazy - this fragrance is convincing in everyday life in small doses, but also cuts a mega good figure as a night-out bomb.

Etrango is beautiful - and probably permanent in my collection.

Don't we boys all want to be a bit like "Etrango"? Not always, but more and more often!
