What you see is what you get
I would say this is everything you would expect from the name and from the notes – very sweet, very pink, very sixteen – youthful, fruity, unapologetically sugary and simple – and that’s the charm of it. This is the kind of scent I expected from Burberry Her (yet didn’t get). This is a bit fresher and airier, despite all the red berries, caramel and cotton candy. I must say, I’m a sucker for caramel. I am yet to dislike anything with caramel in it, so take my review with a grain of salt, but this is just as sweet as you can get without getting saccharine and sickly – maybe verging on it, but not quite there yet.

Sweet Sixteen Pink has a similar balance and vibe to Zara Wonder Rose – I love the pink sweetness and simplicity of both. They are very similar, only Wonder Rose is bit more sour and cold. In my opinion, they are better executed than Burberry Her which also relies on berries but goes overboard with sweetness, becoming too cloying to my taste. By the way, the same happens with Jeanne Arthes Amore Mio White Pearl – it leans raspberry instead of strawberry yet to similar sickly effect as Her.

So if you want sweet red berries, but not too sweet – ripe and covered in sugar, but not fermented and concentrated – try Sweet Sixteen, it might be right up your alley.

Longevity and potency, alas, also correspond to the name – people will smell this on you if they hug you, but it doesn’t project. On my skin lasts more or less until the evening, about 7-8 hours.
Nothing special, but a mood booster for anyone partial to sweets. I like this fragrance and pair it with pastel pink in my wardrobe.
