Rococo - more beautiful than I thought
A few years ago, I got a new colleague. When my boss introduced him, I thought, oh, he’s nice and definitely gay. I was looking forward to working with him, as I had spent many years with two gay colleagues who were like big brothers to me. Well, I’m rarely wrong about people, but here I was completely off; the colleague was only nice when his world was in order, meaning he was either euphoric or in a bad mood. He wasn’t gay either (I’m still not convinced), he was married, although not happily (his malicious comments about his wife suggested that), and in his behavior, he was more feminine than any woman. After a week, he stocked the men’s restroom with air freshener and disinfectant (I know this because the male colleagues gossiped about it and he got the costs from me out of the cash register), he knew 1000 shoe brands, became hysterical over trivial matters, owned countless different creams, gave me a lecture on how important it is to moisturize your feet twice a day, and he even threw a hole punch once. No, he wasn’t nice; when I laughed with the boss in the hallway, I was a sycophant, our boss said, “Mrs. C., that was good work,” he mumbled: “Women have it easy.” A colleague said years later, if he had been gay, I might have liked him.
Sorry for the long preamble, but this story belongs to Rococo, as I had a long-standing aversion to this scent because this colleague wore it in overdose. For a while, we shared an office, and sometimes I wanted to shout to visitors and colleagues: No, no, please believe me, I don’t smell like that, it’s him!
While cleaning up recently, I came across a small box containing some older samples, including Rococo. Spontaneously, I wanted to give this sample to my niece, but then I decided to spray it on myself. Oh, not so bad at all. It starts off floral and very spicy, but also fruity; I can smell the pineapple. On my wrist, it has an oriental, heavy, and very sweet scent; Rococo is opulent and sensual. The fragrance lasts for several hours, the longevity is enormous, and the sillage is strong. An animalistic scent that is probably best worn in winter.
In summer and overdosed by the colleague, Rococo, like any opulent fragrance, is simply hard to bear. But I had to revise my opinion; this is a good scent, although too sweet for me, but in the right dosage, it’s quite beautiful. I also find it too sweet for men, but I might test it on my beloved.
