Raspberry Gummy Bear

Once again, Joop introduces a new member of the gummy bear gang, as I like to affectionately call them. I find this one quite well done again, if you appreciate the typical Joop Homme DNA. What are you getting into? In short, sweet synthetic notes as you already know from the predecessors.

By now, the gummy bears are available in flavors like cherry in the form of Joop! Homme Eau de Toilette, subtle pineapple as Joop! Homme Wild, nut as Joop! Homme Eau de Parfum, and praline as Joop! Homme Le Parfum. The rose fits in very well here. The progression remains linear.

The longevity is around 8 hours after the first test. Further tests will show.

The only thing I find a bit high is the price for a Joop, but it will surely become cheaper over time.

Conclusion: I am curious when the flavors strawberry, orange, and mango will come. A pleasing youthful scent that will surely find its fans.

Joop Homme from the past united with modern tenderness.

I was curious for weeks when I found out that there is a new Joop Homme flanker. I loved the old Joop Homme from the 90s, wore it, and often received compliments for it. Of course, it was a novelty back then; there was nothing like it before. Sweet cherry berry notes, soft sweet powdery notes of heliotrope, honey, and vanilla.

What is sold today under the name Joop Homme is something synthetic; it partly reminds me of super glue with intrusive sweetness and wood shavings.

But now to the joyful experience of today. The new Joop Homme (as) Intense. Magenta-colored, familiar bottle and cap. I applied it and almost shouted at Müller: This is the old Joop paired with a new beautiful modernity.

It has a lot of vintage, is not too sweet like the old Joop Homme, but woody oriental with a bearable sweetness. An adult sweetness, as I always like to say. It is the old Joop Homme with a floral note. Instead of jasmine, this time rose. A red rose that you can smell very well.

It smells as if you add a few drops of rose oil to the old good Joop Homme. Wonderful, as it is not too sweet. Still, you can tell where the fragrance comes from and what year it hails from. Joop Homme Intense could just as well have come from the 90s. Because the scent has a vintage touch to it.

The longevity is grand, the sillage as well. And at €50 for 75 ml, it's affordable. I love it and will wear it with pride: Joop Homme is back with tender rose in hand and still the gentleman that every woman loves to lean on.

I am standing in the kitchen and...

... baking a cake, the recipe states that rose water is included, so I got some for baking. I open the bottle and my nose is flooded with the scent of roses. As instructed, I soak the raisins in the rose water and rum. A few drops also go into the dough. When it’s finished, I get the aroma of a rose garden in my nose.

Upon applying this fragrance, the first thing you notice is a sweet rose scent that quickly blends with other floral accords. After a while, this scent becomes darker and takes on a masculine vibe. This makes it more mature than the original, yet it still reminds me of the original from the late 80s. What is no longer really noticeable is the cherry.

The longevity and sillage are, as always with this line, very good.

Here we have a fragrance from the house of JOOP! that on one hand refers to the original but on the other hand is more mature due to its dark masculine character. I see this fragrance suitable for those 20 years and older, and for anyone who likes it. Women can also give it a try. It is wearable all year round. During the day, it can be worn at university, in the office, at a meeting, in a café, or while shopping, just as well as in the evening at a bar, in a club, at a disco, or a party.

If you enjoy a sweet dark masculine floral rose scent, you are in the right place, and at a good price.

The Moment Joop! Homme Intense Became My Favorite Flanker

Joop! Homme Intense honestly surprised me - and in a positive way. The first minutes feel like a fabric softener, clean, soft, a bit creamy. But this initial impression fades quickly, and then the fragrance really takes off.

As the rose unfolds, it takes on a truly noble, almost velvety note. The tonka bean gradually sets in underneath, forming a warm foundation. Overall, the fragrance comes across as very elegant, yet in my opinion still rather masculine - not a cheesy floral scent, but something with character.

You can also tell that the DNA of the classic Joop! Homme resonates in the background. Not loud, not intrusive, more like a quiet greeting from the past. If you pay attention, you can recognize it, but the fragrance still maintains its own style and feels like a modern reinterpretation.

The longevity is excellent for me: 10 hours plus, without effort. The projection is strong as well - you notice it yourself repeatedly, and others definitely do too.

I like Joop! Homme Intense extraordinarily well. For a blind buy, this was a home run, and it even displaces my previous favorite from the line, the Eau de Parfum.

A fragrance with modern character, nostalgia, and really good performance - this is exactly how a modern Joop! Homme should be.

Warm rose sinks into tonka brew. Geranium forms a bitter counterpart. The original DNA is recognizable. I think it's quite good.
