The smell of earth – but which planet are we on?

That’s not just a catchy line; it’s also what I said the first time I tried to describe this fragrance.

Because yes, there’s earth – vetiver, damp wood, all that good stuff.
But then come the fruity notes, guava and rhubarb, giving the perfume its sharp acidity.
And then there’s that scent of mushrooms, cucumber, and moss – surprising, disorienting.

We’re hikers, yes, but on another planet.
A planet that wavers between realism and cartoon, where strange fruits grow on trees (though are those even trees?).
And just like on earthly hikes, the best part begins when we get lost.

Realest dirtiest green
This is pretty photorealistic fresh cut vine to me. It brings back memories of early summer days helping my dad work in the garden in the morning. Grass ripped out of the ground from the root. Dried down earthy and soil-y. On me, it turns into BO, but no an unpleasant BO I actually like it. But I wouldn’t wear to work, usually a lounge around scent or night out. Great price point too!

Props for Creativity
This is likely the most unique fragrance that I have tried that is still wearable, but for me, it's just barely wearable. It's very creative, but I can't imagine ever reaching for this. I can't think of any occasion to wear this. It reminds me of being a kid and eating dirt because it smells exactly like dirt. Good dirt! But definitely dirt. I enjoy challenging scents, but it's too much for me.

Bright green in a bottle
Paradisi is probably the greenest green scent I’ve ever smelled. It smells not just garden-inspired - like many green and floral fragrances - this is the whole garden: damp wood, dirt, leaves, cuttings, the greenhouse.. If you're into gardening, you'll probably love this.

I thought I could smell that fresh, herbaceous, slightly spicy note of tomato leaf (which I really love), but it's not in the notes. This whole fragrance does have that same aromatic, earthy and vegetal feel though.

From the bright green, fresh opening, I was expecting the soil and mushroom notes to come out a bit more in the dry down, but the scent is quite linear: the citrus, guava and grapefruit stay prominent and to me it's more green, citrussy and aromatic, with the earthiness more in the background. Lovely fragrance though, very sparkly, bright and uplifting. It didn't take me long to decide I wanted a full bottle of this!

Where juniper?
Roja Elysium / Athena Trevi sparkling green/citrus. Grapefruit and orange - peel and juice, juniper, even a bit of tomato leaf as somebody suggested in statements. Cutting rhubarb leaves, cutting garden plants in general.

Sparkling green scent. I almost never get enough mushroom in perfumes to say it's really there, and this one isn't an exception. It has that soil quality, but for me the most present is the smell of crushing juniper berries and needles - which apparently are not even there. That, mixed with grapefruit and cut greenery, dominates the scent for the whole time to me.

Underripe fruits in collision with moist dark soil. Fresh-fizzy and unearthly earthy. Far far away from conventional perfumery.

Soil and garden bomb, great gift for gardeners over winter. Green vines, subtle florals, light vegetal notes. Lots of green vine and earth.

We come from the earth, and we return to it. Rich, damp soil. Roots. Aquatic, fruity, mossy, grassy notes in the background.

Intriguing tart guava scent, with lots of earthiness and rootiness from soil and mushrooms. Dry and green, a hint of gasoline in the open.

Sharp, almost puckering citrus combined with all the best elements of a damp forest. Sounds gross but it's absolutely heaven.

Bright citruses on top with some sour earthiness, it develops really green - but not minty - with a strong cucumber note. Slightly fruity
