Touched by the Powder Flower
My first impression: It smells like an exclusive face powder. I immediately realize that I will love this scent!

Almond and mimosa create a dreamy blend. I love almond scents and also mimosa scents, and the combination of both is simply heavenly to me. The violet skillfully joins in, and the three harmonize as if they were always meant to be together.

With the iris joining in the top note, it becomes even more powdery. The rose fails to assert itself, which I personally don't mind in this case, because the scent is simply perfect as it is.

The longevity and sillage are not that impressive. However, I must say that I have a roll-on sample. When sprayed, it could look quite different.

Poudré smells like a wonderfully soft powder flower. I imagine a beautiful vintage-style room in pastel colors with many dolls in pretty dresses. The window is open, a warm breeze sweeps through the room, gently spreading the scent of the powder flower, which I envision as pure and cream-colored.

For me, it is a perfect spring scent and absolutely uplifting. I think I will buy the fragrance because it is definitely the right choice when you need a little pick-me-up. Poudré makes me happy and gently caresses my soul in a wonderful way.

I can't help it; I have to give 100 percent :-)

Talco Delicato for Ladies
Poudre is my favorite Jovoy. I love, love, love it.
And it IS powdery, no matter what others might say.
The top note is sweet-almond-floral; I keep thinking of Talco Delicato by I Profumi di Firenze, but this one is grown-up, not baby powder, but a first-class old-school ladies' fragrance. The heart note becomes increasingly powdery and less sweet, with a lot of violet. This slightly old-fashioned violet I know from Soir de Paris Vintage, which I also love, but that has only been available in reformulated versions for 20 years, so it’s an endangered species.
But through Poudre, the early violet/iris blasts continue to live on!
(I refrained from throwing in the pun: "This violet will hit you!" just for the record.)
When the heart note has fully crystallized, the fragrance starts to become less powdery and more rosy, and this is more the classic-blooming sweet rose than the fresh little rose that is still green behind the ears.
I fear this fragrance might not score points with today's audience, as it is again very specific, and I think one should approach the Jovoys with a bit of tolerance and humor, then you recognize what you have in them.

The Plastic Baby
Of all the Jovoys, I was particularly curious about Poudre, as Jovoy aims to create a sensual skin scent with the powderiness of flowers.
How disappointed I was when I was initially enveloped by an artificial Labello-plastic cloud. I found it really cheap. Then the scent reminded me a bit of Keiko Mecheri's Lokhoum Eau Poudree.
Much later, it reminded me a little of L'Instant magic and I began to warm up to it.

The scent develops more and more into a baby scent or a sweet little girl scent. For me, this is a fragrance that I would wear in the evening after a lovely, hot bath with lots of bath foam, after I’ve thrown on cozy loungewear, and then either snuggle up on the couch or head to bed to read. Until now, I have always used Eternity Love or Ombre Rose for this cozy blanket need. With Poudre from Jovoy, I might have another alternative, as L'Instant magic somehow feels too precious as a good-night scent.
Oh, and of course, it also has a familial resemblance to Iris Romantique by Ulric de Varens.

However, I really can't recommend Poudree, as I find all the fragrances I mentioned above to be far superior.
If I buy it, it will really only be as a super bargain.....(which I probably will do, as I will have the opportunity to)...I will report back.

Where is the Powder?
I absolutely wanted the Poudre and pulled out all the stops.
Today I wonder why.

Jovoy Paris-Poudre... that sounds so great. Just like powder.
I am now desperately searching for the powder.
I actually expect a fragrance with such a name to smell less floral and more powdery.
Admittedly, there may be a bit of Poudre in it, but otherwise it is an everyday scent that smells nice.
At first, a fresh citrus-floral note comes through, even without lemon in it.*gg*
A bit of sweet grass follows.
I don't smell any almonds at all.

Overall, it remains a fresh, delicate floral fragrance, whose powder can only be sensed in the base.

The longevity must be criticized.

Powdery-floral, slightly gourmand women's fragrance. Its classic touch makes it feel more understated and elegant. Good!

Starts sweet-waxy-powdery-green violet-Iris. Becomes nicer-stronger+floral-more pronounced, cedar grazes past iris-V. just beside the leather.
