The fidgety summer night
Translated, Vol d'Hirondelle means "swallow flight".
With a swallow I do not associate this perfume, but the impressions that come into my head are from the bird's eye view. Funny.
Namely, this fragrance associates a beginning evening in a lively small town on the Mediterranean coast. The day was hot and so life really gets going with the setting of the sun.
Between the small old houses with the heat crumbled tile roofs plays music, jingling of Streetfoot dishes, laughing women, screaming children.
The scents that the heat had lured from the herbs and trees mingle with the cool evening air and the spices of the prepared meal.
A full-bodied, multi-layered scent of
tart and dark green shrubs, citric is hidden among various other ingredients and triggers more of a dark, heavy freshness. The floral hints are present but authentic, woody in nature. Slightly creamy musk mixes with smoky, earthy parts and is surrounded by a slightly fruity hint, it could be fig. The spices are not heavy at all, rather create a feeling of sandy soil.
A perfume that conveys the summer feeling differently. No aqua, no tea, no pure citrus, no clean scent. The summer association is transported via a light spicy, woody scent. What we have here is the chilled scent of a summer day full of work and the loose, fun-loving release of same as the sun sets.
These are my favorite summer scents as they fit perfectly into this time of year, they are native to summer and evoke the most imagery in me.
Thank you for reading my comment
