Expensive Peony
To me, this fragrance seems more like a sensual peony than orchid itself. It has something of the shampoo-like floral aroma of peony massmarket fragrances, here made more interesting by a complex combination of powdery florals, sweet almonds, cozy and sweet and somehow nutty benzoin and creamy vanilla. It's more floral at first, but the rosy and clean peony aspects linger for a good time after the fruity aspects are gone, and what lingers mixes well with the warm sweet base. It has a very good sillage, but altough it's an extrait i just think it's, pretty or not, just very expensive for what it is.

Beautiful Flowers: yes. Physical Pleasures: no.
Oh man, someone really went out on a limb with the advertising: we're talking about "pure sensuality," the "dizzying power of physical pleasures," an "incredible," "legendary," "intoxicating" scent...

Hmmm...just following the motto "Sex sells," that's how you attract customers. The only problem is: you also raise corresponding expectations among these customers. It's unfortunate when you can't meet them at all.

Don't get me wrong: "Sensual Orchid" is a beautiful, a wonderfully floral scent.
It starts fresh with mandarin and transitions into a full bouquet of flowers with orchid and jasmine, which lasts quite a while on my skin, so the base hardly comes through for me.
Despite all the advertising, the scent is more clean than intoxicating, without any edges or anything remotely risqué.
It's a really pleasant, elegant fragrance that I could wear to work without standing out negatively.

So I definitely associate some positive qualities with this scent. But "physical pleasures"?!? No, definitely not. If that was the goal, I must sadly say: "Fail, 6 - topic missed."
Otherwise, it would be: "Congratulations - wonderfully composed floral scent!"

Edit: after wearing the scent multiple times now, I must add one more thing: others perceive a distinct gourmand note when I wear it. I can't quite understand that myself, but I'm of course happy that it is well received by others.

Addendum 04.12.2013: after just over a year, the top note has unfortunately turned, even though the scent was stored cool and dark. For the first few minutes, it now smells overwhelmingly alcoholic, then the familiar scent emerges. Disappointing - given the price, I expected better. Especially since the scent is only available in a 100ml bottle, which is really not cheap.
I still really like the scent itself, but if you don't want to douse yourself in it daily and exclusively, I can't recommend the purchase. At most as a sharing.

My Fabric Softener...
...currently has the scent note of Vanilla Orchid and I find it delicious.

I have often wondered if there is such a scent available as a perfume.

Vanilla, okay, I’m not really a big fan of vanilla, Orchid, I didn’t know what it actually smells like.
The combination of both in my fabric softener is great.

And what happened?

The name Sensual Orchid caught my attention, I ordered a sample and tested it over several days, and the scent is even better than my fabric softener.

I already find it wonderful when I spray it on, yes, it is sweet, but not too sweet, it has something very beautifully subtle and feminine for me, could that be the orchid? I would describe it as mystical and berry-like, like dark berries, and still delicious enough to bite into.

This fades over time, and then a note comes in that develops in me as sultry, but not dirty, rather somehow extravagant. I feel like I’m on Martinique on a turquoise sandy beach, it’s hot, humid, in the afternoon, I’m barefoot and the wind brushes around me so pleasantly and beautifully. I feel light and beautiful and I’m doing well, every day could be like this.

The scent stays with me, even in the twilight, it is now softer, but still there, and if I feel like it, I reapply.

I bring myself back to everyday life and treat myself to my break with this fine and beautiful scent.

For me, this is a great everyday scent with a wonderful pleasant aura, this scent highlights me without being too dominant, I have fallen for it once again......

I would say the longevity is about max 6 hours, which is fine, the bottle is different, somehow fitting.

I had wanted to order "Sensual Orchid" for testing for a long time. Now I have it, but after the testing experience with "Ultimate Seduction," I wasn't quite ready to dive in.
I had always hesitated, among other reasons, because a fragrance that already signals it might smell like orchid raises reservations for me.
Because I have never smelled a fragrant orchid. I have not only smelled those without perceiving anything, which are available in every garden center and that I have had myself, but also quite different beauties. Not a single fragrant one was among them. They are said to exist, but whether it is such a pleasant floral scent cannot be known.
However, "Sensual Orchid" is an unspectacular fragrance. I experience it as pleasant, to put it right away.
But not unusual. Esperys by Coudray belongs to this fragrance direction but is not as gourmand.
At first, I perceive almond-flavored citrus fruits. I like almond. The top note is not too strong, but it cannot be called delicate either.
Within 2 hours, "Sensual Orchid" becomes brighter, a fine acidity takes over, and here I perceive osmanthus. All fragrances with osmanthus smell like this to me. At the same time, flowers begin to scent, jasmine is very quiet, and I cannot pick it out. This is already very pleasant for me. The heliotrope that I love above all appears, just as I can smell the flowers every day now, but in a much more subtle dilution. This makes "Sensual Orchid" particularly elegant. I cannot perceive peony and ylang-ylang individually.
It is a fine floral blend, as my predecessor has already mentioned.
Also, the other base notes like labdanum, vanilla, and benzoin are mixed in such a way that the scent continuously changes. Sometimes it smells more of almond, then again more of the flowers, a little of honey.
But overall, "Sensual Orchid" is not very sweet. It is a floral gourmand. Bright, with a light fruity acidity, bitter vanilla, a slightly synthetic almond scent, "Sensual Orchid" is very pleasant, truly cozy.
I cannot perceive woods, only a slight resinous quality that seems to be connected with the labdanum.
For me, "Sensual Orchid" is neither creamy nor powdery.
"Sensual Orchid" proves to me that there are fruity fragrances that I also like and would wear.
What holds me back is the price. €196 for 100 ml is a lot of money, there are no smaller bottles. "Sensual Orchid" is indeed a fragrance for every day, but one does not want to, at least I do not, smell like this every day or wear it on oneself. It is a purely feminine fragrance, the longevity is good, the sillage relatively fine and close to the body.

Juicy Green Apple
The scent is very feminine and light, which I like ;-) but I find it hard to grasp. It is like watercolor paint: watery, flowing, and at the same time fresh and invigorating.
On the skin, it is very sensitive, intimate, and fragile, a wonderful fragrance.
And every time I smell it, I can't help but think of a green, juicy apple.

Heliotrope scent. Almond, vanilla, and slightly altered strawberry. I don't know what orchid smells like, not like strawberry, right? Quite sweet.

First, lovely sweet heliotrope-almond cream, floral and smooth. After 5 minutes, I'm overwhelmed & crave salt-dried fish.

Very rich, not a watery scent, with extreme expressiveness. Also sensual and creamy, being an Extrait, very long-lasting.
Wearable all year round.

Creamy-almondy & gentle start, very delicious! Gradually develops into a floral scent, mixed with creamy vanilla, jasmine & heliotrope.

To me, the tester M smells like Thai food. I get his association. It starts off nutty, but then becomes very synthetic.
