Is it really Noir?
I’ll give it away - I think a white shirt is great. Accordingly, my expectations were high. Once again, it’s about a piece of clothing (the fabric theme seems to be quite popular). Gabardine is, as usual, made from fine merino wool and is often used for transitional coats, suits, and even officer uniforms. So, a dark officer's coat. It fits perfectly with a white shirt - très chic.

However, Gabardine smells much brighter than expected. One can even sense a resemblance to Chemise Blanche, although GN comes across as quite rough. I could like it a lot if it weren't for that one note that bothers me immensely. Unfortunately, I can't identify it, but it reminds me a bit of plastic. I encountered this note in Nuvole as well, but there it is somewhat subtler and adds a certain spiciness. In Gabardine, it is much more pronounced. Nevertheless, it is a clean scent with character, but unfortunately a bit too fussy for my taste.

Oh yes, Gabardine was invented in 1879 by Thomas Burberry. Coincidence or homage? :)

Racing- Flui
I have rarely read such an incomprehensible Wikipedia article as on "Gadarbine." I understand more about electrical circuits and construction plans for watt transformers with volt operation. Well, post-lectum, the scent makes sense because my senses somehow manage to connect the only image of this entry, namely that of a piece of fabric, synaptically with NG.

The pyramid doesn't sound so spectacular like *taking the laptop screen in both hands, standing up from the chair, and opening my mouth with the laptop screen in both hands, clenching a fist with one hand and bursting into jubilation*, but whatever.

As DuftaddicteD rightly said, NG really smells, and not just a little, of licorice. And that is usually black and spicy, sweet and fresh. Even though the scent doesn’t deliver a mega spectacular show, this combination of woody, spicy, sweet, and fresh is simply amazing. It has something subtle yet strongly present. I think the steaming freshness comes from the somewhat rough green mandarin, which wants to please the Flui. Even though the freshness is toned down to 3%, I’m glad I get to identify this freshness drive.

My winter outfit for this is already put together, or rather it has come together by itself. Slim dark blue-black jeans, a sharply tailored black long-sleeve shirt, a black voluminous scarf (I need a new one, by the way), a black slightly shiny jacket, and brown, elegantly sporty autumn boots along with a pilot motorsport watch. Fits, exactly my thing.

Overall, I find that NG has a motorsport appeal. Perhaps my subconscious registers a connection between licorice and rubber tires. Also a bit of engine oil because it’s spicy and sweet-oriental. All of this becomes somewhat "slimy" and has a dark appeal.

With everything the scent offers, I also believe that it can be perceived in different ways. Nevertheless, a racetrack scent for the Flui.

In my opinion, it smells....
1:1 like "Yohji Femme" by Yohji Yamamoto!

This was one of my favorite fragrances back in the 90s - nowadays I find it a bit too sweet and too rich... However, this scent is definitely very special and you certainly don't smell it on every corner! Personally, I detect sweet licorice :)

Citrus and chamomile-like bitterness meet grassy-woody sweetness. The battle is fought in the musk arena.

Starts fresh with slightly sweet citrus fruits & candied ginger. When the woods come in, I can only wrinkle my nose.
