Too sweet for me to wear in public

This is on the borderline of being too sweet to endure, but I still like it for bed time, almost like a sweet dreams potion. Nothing I would wear in public. I would feel like smelling like a candy bar, and even though I like sweet, just to smell like a food item with nothing to balance it out is more something for a much, MUCH younger crowd. I like gourmand frags only if I don't smell exactly like a bakery, coffee house or a chocolate bar. I wished I could detect more fruit. It's still nice for bed time, though. But I would still consider a swap with something not quite so sweet. It's a 3.3oz bottle almost full.

Too much alcohol, no coffee

What was I thinking here?
I have to admit that I wasn't necessarily looking for a dupe of BO, but I was hoping for notes of pear, coffee and pink pepper.

But this one, I don't know...
Apart from the strong smell of alcohol that I detect, the perfume itself is not bad. I smell vanilla, lots³ of licorice and also something floral... but the coffee scent that I was promised on the La Rive website itself, here and other sites on the net? Unfortunately, there is (almost?) no trace of it!

I wouldn't necessarily say it was a bad buy... however, it doesn't live up to what I was looking forward to.

The longevity and sillage are also a little disappointing. Given the price, however, I can live with that.

The coffee is missing

Without question, this perfume is a cost-effective alternative to YSL's black opium. Unfortunately the coffee component is completely missing.
I think there's a better fragrance twin: Zara Gardenia. Also here the coffee note comes a little short, but Zara Gardenia looks rounder and he misses the slightly sour, a little bit cheap note ( which I only like in the direct Zara Dupe/ LR Dupe or LR Dupe / Original unpleasant

After all the great comments here, I have reactivated my disused nose and ordered 3 perfumes / dupes. After Prada candy Kiss I should have found something cheaper and I found some great reviews that helped me a lot. And I have sweet memories of opium, as I was given the real perfume by a holiday acquaintance on Sylt 35 years ago, because I always envied her. That bottle with the little trace of perfume makes me a junkie. And also this smell makes me reminisce - warm and familiar - and simply delicious. The advantage for me - the real perfume could easily sting my skin - this only smells like more. Definitely a great purchase, you sit wrapped in a gentle vanilla aroma and smell like a peach that comes fresh and soft with velvety skin fresh from the tree. Tasty tasty tasty ??????????
