Too sweet for me to wear in public
This is on the borderline of being too sweet to endure, but I still like it for bed time, almost like a sweet dreams potion. Nothing I would wear in public. I would feel like smelling like a candy bar, and even though I like sweet, just to smell like a food item with nothing to balance it out is more something for a much, MUCH younger crowd. I like gourmand frags only if I don't smell exactly like a bakery, coffee house or a chocolate bar. I wished I could detect more fruit. It's still nice for bed time, though. But I would still consider a swap with something not quite so sweet. It's a 3.3oz bottle almost full.

Uncannily Similar
Today I once again strolled through the perfume department of the drugstore with the 2 letters and the one with the M.

Once more, I found myself in front of La Rive, trying 'Cash' for the 3rd time, and despite the breezy cooling today and consequently being sweat-free, I just didn't like this scent anymore.
So I went through my created list on my phone, sniffed nearly every perfume from La Rive, and stopped at 'Touch of Woman'.
Strange, special, and beautiful all at once.
I pulled out my phone and checked the list to see which designer perfume this is supposed to be a dupe for.
I then walked around the corner, positioned myself in front of the shelf with YSL fragrances, and boldly sprayed 'Black Opium' on the test strip.
The opening of both scents is different.
Touch of Woman by La Rive has some underlying, indefinable note that resonates... but is quickly replaced by a pleasant scent that I really like.
Compared to the original, I hardly smell any difference and am truly surprised.

I like the black bottle with the simple cap, but they could have been more creative regarding the shape, and as for the childish pink writing, less would have been more.
But so be it.

The scent is pleasing, comes damn close to the original after unfolding, and is unbeatable in price.
Currently available at M for €4.95 on sale ;)

The Coffee is Missing
Without a doubt, this perfume is an affordable alternative to YSL's Black Opium.
Touch of a Woman is sweet and creamy with a lot of vanilla and a hint of milk. A round, warm, soft gourmand. Unfortunately, the coffee component is completely missing.
I think there is a better scent twin: Zara Gardenia. Here too, the coffee note is somewhat lacking, but Zara Gardenia feels rounder and lacks the slightly sour, somewhat cheap note (which only bothers me in the direct Zara dupe/LR dupe or LR dupe/original comparison).

Delicious
After all the great comments here, I reactivated my dormant nose and immediately ordered 3 perfumes/duplicates. After Prada Candy Kiss, something more affordable was needed, and I came across some fantastic reviews that really helped me. I have sweet memories of Opium, as I received the real perfume as a gift from a vacation acquaintance in Sylt about 35 years ago, simply because she was always envious of me. This bottle with the little bit of perfume left makes me a junkie. And this scent also lets me indulge in memories - warm and familiar - and just delicious. The advantage for me - the real perfume could sometimes come off a bit sharp on my skin - this one just smells like more. Definitely a great purchase, you sit wrapped in a gentle vanilla aroma and smell like a peach that is fresh and soft with velvety skin, just picked from the tree. Delicious delicious delicious ??????????

intensive cuddle scent
Due to so many positive reports about the dupe of Black Opium by YSL, I naturally got a bottle of Touch of Woman from my favorite drugstore. My expectations were high, and it was immediately tested extensively.

After opening the box, I was initially a bit disappointed with the bottle, as I don't like it at all; it looks too much like a children's perfume to me, especially the cap, which I find unfortunate because with the colors black, gold, and pink, something much more beautiful could have been created. But well, one shouldn't focus too much on the appearance, right? ;-)

I then got started, one spray on the neck, on the wrist, and in the hair... I didn't have to wait long, a true explosion of scent. First, I smell patchouli together with bergamot and a lot of vanilla. I don't smell the peach mentioned above at all; I don't smell anything fruity. I also perceive a slight jasmine note, which I like.

Since I know and have used Black Opium, I can say that there is a very, very strong similarity; however, for me, the coffee note and the orange blossom are missing here, which I don't find bad at all; I personally prefer the version from La Rive much more.

Regarding longevity, I can say that Black Opium lasts only 3-4 hours on me and only if I spray a lot, whereas Touch of Woman comes across much more intensely for me, and I can smell it all day and still perceive it slightly the next day, especially in my hair and on my clothes.

One should just be careful with the dosage, as it can quickly become too much, but for me, it is the perfect cuddle scent for the cold season, warm, intense, and sensual.

Black Opium Light w/ pear-smelling peach. Caffeine-free, but the original didn't contain any neither (to me). Proper longevity, good value.

Everything that sells well in the mainstream gets copied. Here, Black Opium. I didn't like the original either. Here it's sweet, sticky, annoying.

I find it more beautiful than the original, as it lacks the coffee. First sugary peach, then sweet, vanilla, warm, and soft. Lovely!

"That can't be anything at that price." Oh yes, it is lovely, especially now. Warm fruity sweet indulgent vanilla, no annoying note.

Dupe for BO and Killer Queen by K. Perry. Lasts longer than the originals. Great for a low price without smelling cheap or overwhelming.

Beautiful "colorful" aroma medley, without being loud. Sweet-bitter-raugourmand-floral fruity-wood vanilla potpourri, with a hint of coffee!!

Touch of Woman is a dupe for "Black Opium." Smells exactly the same and lasts just as long, but at a better price ;)
