Smells so good!
I'm new to the whole fragrance & perfume scene and can't differentiate between different notes at the moment, so please read this with a grain of salt.

My best friend mentioned that she was bored of her current perfume and was looking for a new signature scent. I tried different perfumes in nearby stores and this one really stuck out to me. It just smelled amazing! I can try to describe this scent as flowery and feminine, but not mature. Given our age and her caring, bubbly personality, I thought this scent would suit her, so I gifted it to her. She loved it! It's been a year and she still uses it to this day.

Who would have thought....?
To give some background, I have to briefly mention that I really wanted to test the pink bottle from Armani, as I had read so many positive reviews....with the sober result that there is a note in it that I absolutely do not like (I think it’s the orange blossom?). No, I don’t need that scent in my collection!
Today, I happened to stroll past the perfume shelf at dm, and since there wasn’t much going on, I sniffed a few fragrances. Among others, I picked up a bottle from La Rive because it said "new." I sprayed the scent onto a strip rather bored and smelled it without much expectation.....but wait, what was that? A floral, slightly sweet, and creamy note came to me that perfectly fits my taste. Next step, spraying it on my skin. Smelled it again, wow!
At some point, I noticed that my actions hadn’t gone unnoticed. In the next moment, I was approached by a somewhat helpless-looking specimen of the opposite sex who asked me if the scent was good. He said he wasn’t familiar with fragrances and needed something nice for his girlfriend. He had bought her a scent for 80 euros, and it was now sitting unused on the shelf.
Wordlessly, I handed him the scent strip, and after the first sniff, his face lit up, and he asked me to get him a bottle from the shelf, with which he then happily went to the checkout.
After I also came home richer by one bottle, I googled the scent because I wanted to know what it was inspired by. I had to laugh out loud when I read that it is supposed to be a twin to the aforementioned fragrance.
In hindsight, I must say that there is indeed a certain similarity, but that exact note that bothered me in the designer fragrance is almost completely absent, and I find it much more pleasant because of that.
Of course, it must be said that it is neither a sillage nor a longevity monster, but that’s exactly why I can very well imagine it for summer and everyday use. And if you have to reapply several times during the day....so what, for the price, that’s totally fine!

Tuberose and Jasmine Define This Fragrance
When I spotted the test spray of Her Choice in the drugstore, I immediately knew which fragrance this one is inspired by. It’s obvious if you know My Way.
On vacation, I tested a sample of MW. I was surprised that I actually liked it quite a bit, especially in terms of sillage. I simply don’t like tuberose (often a headache candidate). That’s a shame, but it is what it is. Even worse for me is tuberose combined with a lot of jasmine. There are few fragrances with tuberose that I can still tolerate well. My Way is one of them. I assume it’s because the orange blossom and bergamot linger here for a long time, giving the fragrance a wonderful fruitiness, and the tuberose is not strongly noticeable most of the time - at least it fits very well into the overall composition - Now to Her Choice: as several perfume enthusiasts have aptly described here, the scent smells like chewing gum. Tuberose and jasmine are the dominant notes in this perfume. It never becomes fruity, like the original. This makes the fragrance softer and sweeter. For many, it’s beautiful. However, I really have issues with the scent. This is not meant to be against Her Choice at all; it’s an impressively well-made perfume for the price. It can’t help that I can’t stand tuberose.
But since I think there are more people who feel similarly, I just wanted to note that in relation to Her Choice in my review.
The longevity for me is about almost half as short as that of My Way. But it’s still decent! It also becomes skin-close much faster. I tested both on my wrists in parallel :)

My Way from a Different Perspective
Recently, I played "My Way" by Frank Sinatra at one of my performances while wearing the one from Armani. Between the soundcheck and my cue to start, I ordered this fragrance online. All these facts have become more or less clear to me now in their significance. By now, everyone knows how much I love My Way, the one from Armani. The one by Frank Sinatra is of course also not to be underestimated; just the harmonization and melody are brilliantly simple and by no means banal. How often I have had the pleasure of singing and accompanying this song... *savoring memories* *clears throat* but that's not the topic here, and yet the perfume speaks to me more than the song does ;)
So, I wouldn't be me if I hadn't grabbed this fragrance, especially after the great feedback here. Since no store around here carries this scent, I ordered it online. Today it finally arrived. Yes, it is a dupe of My Way, but... only at first sniff and only superficially considered. If someone walks past you casually, they might actually think you are wearing My Way. At first, they smell quite similar; "My Choice" is perhaps a tad sweeter, and I can clearly understand the chewing gum note here, which doesn't reveal itself to me in "My Way." My Way has no significant scent development on my skin. The fruits shine until the end, remaining beautifully sparkling and slightly sour, like a fine fruit shampoo. Her Choice, on the other hand, transforms from fruity and chewing gum-like to powdery. I was surprised at how well My Way is wearable in hot weather. However, I would rather wear this one in mild to cooler temperatures. Here, everything that is hidden from me in the original scent becomes clear. It is definitely a great alternative, but more comparable to a song cover from a different perspective, with a lovely personal touch. The longevity is definitely less here, but it can be, as My Way is already loud enough.

Everyday Scent for Summer
As I am a huge fan of Armani perfumes, I was naturally thrilled by "My Way." However, I sometimes find the scent a bit too intense for everyday wear, which is why its fragrance twin "Her Choice" by La Rive caught my interest. I immediately noticed it on the shelf due to the almost identical bottle (at least in color). My boyfriend always complains that the floral notes stand out on my skin, and indeed it smells very strongly of jasmine (which doesn’t bother me at all). I can't detect any gum scent whatsoever. All in all, it’s a pleasant, sweet, floral fragrance. Completely sufficient for everyday use.

Wow, I like it even more than "My Way | Giorgio Armani". It smells like carefree afternoons with friends chewing gum.

Petra, the budget version of Barbie, wears "Her Choice." "My Way" was too expensive. This synthetic plastic flower scent copy works too...

Citrus-tuberose gum on surprisingly elegant jasmine and a creamy vanilla-musk base. A pleasing everyday scent without being too bold.

OMG it's so good. This is how floral-fruity scent fun is done, I want to drench myself in it from head to toe. Jasminum auriculatum super natural!

Pleasant O-Flower Tuberose, round, simple, not too sweet, and lasts longer on me than My Way. New favorite from La Rive, suitable for everyday wear.

Costs €6.95 and is a great dupe for My Way Nectar + chewing gum for me. The longevity isn't a 10/10 but at this price, it doesn't matter at all.
