Blue Iris
This perfume is called Blue Orchid, yet I would have named it Blue Iris instead because, to me, it’s primarily an iris scent.
At first, it’s a "vegetal" iris with a very strong carrot note (this is the second time I’ve encountered such a smell in an iris-based perfume, so I hope my nose doesn’t start picking up on it every time…). Fortunately, this effect fades after a few minutes, leaving behind a light, powdery floral fragrance. I don’t really detect the lemon or apple; for me, it’s all about a very soft iris.
Pleasant, but not my style, and that vegetable-like opening throws me off a bit too much. It could be a relatively safe blind buy if you enjoy delicate scents and don’t notice the carrot note, but be aware that there's a risk…
