Sweet and oriental
First of all: Unfortunately, I don't know the Instant Crush. So I can't compare here and then say how close the Afkaar actually is.
The fragrance starts with a saffron-like note and continues with a similar sweetness. It is then quite floral and thus theoretically comparatively close to the original. Finally, it becomes more ambery.
I perceive the fragrance as a rather younger scent, but very unisex, if anything a little feminine. Due to its heaviness and sweetness, I would mainly wear it in fall and winter. I wouldn't say that it makes an everyday impression either. I would therefore prefer to wear it for a special occasion, for example going out.
The longevity and sillage are very good, especially for the price you pay for the Afkaar. The price is not as cheap as other dupe houses, but it's still very good for what you get.
If you know the Instant Crush, the comparison would probably still be exciting, but even so, I think that the Afkaar is an excellent sweet fragrance with oriental accents.
