Is there a fire? Or is someone roasting licorice here ?

This fragrance also arrived today together with the Breeze, so it was tested on the other wrist.

According to the headline, it smells slightly burnt due to the elmi resin and the dates, not who stole the coconut but who lit the palm tree... the prelude seems very smoky and boozy but bang there comes the licorice ... it smells a bit coked on my skin and gives the impression of having been forgotten in the pan on the stove ... but who does that ? well, the licorice continues to come through and I thought I was sniffing a bag of Haribo like the previous speakers .
But then, in the course of time, things take a turn for the vanilla and now I also notice the two citrus fruits from the top note. At the end remains a mix of the top notes woody and slightly resinous and soft by musk the incense gives the whole still a touch .
Ultimately, I could perceive slight parallels to the fireplace only here oriental and with a different touch .
I like it, it's something different

A Haribo bag with dates

With some fragrances you know from the first moment that is a love or hate fragrance.
Ajwaa falls exactly into this category.
At the first spray, my reaction changed from oh awesome to ih no.
Ultimately, it became a must not be, but there are worse fragrances.

But what exactly will divide the minds so?
It is this mishmash of sweet, sour, spicy, fruity and resinous notes.
In the opening I thought to myself that smells like a Haribo bag.
Directly I perceived sour lemon, sweet dates and licorice in excess.
In drydown, the sour lemon pulls somewhat into the background.
The resinous notes take command along with dates and licorice.
I don't know how Lattafa managed that but the licorice is really very realistic.
A big fan of it I am unfortunately not.
Although I like to eat it now and then, but I do not want to smell like licorice and it is for my empfinden the most prominent note in the perfume.
Even more prominent than the dates which is why I actually bought the perfume.
As the fragrance progresses, it becomes very slightly oriental, perhaps due to the myrrh? I have no idea where that comes from.
But typical Lattafa or oriental the fragrance never becomes.
The fragrance then remains quite sweet and slightly resinous with licorice, dates and resinous notes in the foreground.

In fact, the fragrance is quite unique, do not know anything comparable.
Whether that is now good or bad, everyone must decide for themselves.
Only clones Lattafa like times, but Ajwaa seems to be its own creation, just like the two Ajayeb.
And definitely unisex the beautiful part.

The performance is quite ok.
As so often with Lattafa no beast but also not weak.
One is perceived in the first 2 hours for sure.
But I also usually only 4-5 sprays of it applied.
Less is more here since it is not quite safe.

You get a 20 ml bottle of Ajwaa a for 10 euros.
So you can test the fragrance first before you buy a whole bottle.
And I would also so advise everyone who is considering this fragrance to get.
On some days I just can not wear it, because I actually get sick from.
But then there are days like today where I think he is quite ok and definitely portable.
