Lattafa is already releasing quite a few fragrances and many lines are now being exploited like many designer brands. The difference, however, is that Lattafa does this at fair prices. Again, 100ml for 20€ and that for a brand new release is really fair. The original
Asad was already a real hype fragrance that went very viral and you can smell it somewhere from time to time. The
Asad Zanzibar wasn't really a flop, but I think many people were hoping for more with the concept and the pyramid. Me too, although I find it very wearable. And now the third: the Bourbon. What can it do and is it worth it? It depends on what you're looking for. This one is extremely mainstream and strongly reminiscent of the
The Most Wanted Parfum &
The Most Wanted Eau de Parfum Intense series. It's not a real dupe, but it's very much in that direction. The Most Wanted Parfum is a perfume that I also own and I really like it. There are definitely strong similarities in the top note. It's not for "niche" users and doesn't come across as very extravagant, but it is extremely pleasant and easy to wear.
Packaging and bottle as usual for this series, here in autumnal brown. The bottle is fine, even if this brand has much higher quality products in its range. But it fits, as everything works perfectly. The name Bourbon (from bourbon vanilla) only fits to a limited extent. This is not really a vanilla fragrance, even if this fragrance does get some sweetness from the vanilla.
The fragrance itself seems quite balanced right from the start and could also be a flanker from Paco Rabanne, Carlolina Herrera or similar brands in a blind test. The fragrance itself is very multi-faceted with a mainstream sweetness, subtle bubblegum-fruit vibes and also a nice mild spiciness. I also really like this bubblegum sweetness, which goes so slightly in the direction of juicy fruit. There is also a classic and pleasant lavender note in the background that keeps the combination light. This great spice with nutmeg also goes well with these gourmand notes. When this mainstream bubblegum note recedes a little, the fragrance becomes sweeter, more gourmand and also slightly creamy. A great combination of amber, cocoa and vanilla are responsible for this. For what it is, it does a really decent job. For people who are looking for something special, it's not really for them in my opinion. Nevertheless, an easy-to-wear, especially for younger people and the casual look in the transitional months.
Performance is absolutely fine. it lasts for 8-9 hours with good sillage for many hours. Very wearable in everyday life as this fragrance never becomes too heavy or overwhelmingly sweet.
Overall, a very decent release from Lattafa. Rather not a fragrance that will blow away a longtime perfumer, but it does its job.
