Creamy sweet rosy delight
I have only had this creamy, rosy fluffy cloud of joy for a short time, so I know it could very well change over time, but first impressions so far are that Noble Blush is giving everything the notes promised. The imagery in their advertising absolutely set me up, but the smell as soon as I sprayed has totally taken me there… I feel like I’m diving into a stream of creamy sweet rose milk, while sugared puffed clouds of meringue float around me in a pale pink rose petal scented breeze. So, so sweet and edible, yet soft. Lasting power is surprisingly good, I wore to bed and could still faintly smell it on my hand this morning.
I’ve been after a creamy sweet rose confection perfume, mainly inspired by rose Turkish Delight for years, and I love rose perfumes in general, so I was wondering how NB would compare to other rose gourmand or softer pink feeling rose perfumes I have, had or tried..
- Arcana Wildcraft Rapunzel - I think NB came closest with what Rapunzel used to smell like or how it felt to me; a limited edition oil I’ve had for 17 years - and this is a lesson for me to use perfumes I love because some are best used fresh, and this was a stunning rose scented custard with a dollop of sugared cream. It’s now been taken over by an amped up rose geranium and slightly soured milk notes; however NB has mostly filled the craving of my memory of the smell of Arcana’s Rapunzel when I first opened her
- Lattafa Mohra Silky Rose - also feels a little closer but mainly in mood, with its silky ethereal pale pink floral rose
- Paris Corner Rua Radiant Roses - not really close, for me Radiant Roses is chewy sticky rosewater jelly with a thin coating of milk chocolate, Fry's Turkish Delight in particular
- Serge Lutens Rahat Loukoum - more amaretto marzipan with nary a hint of rose
- Keiko Mecheri Loukhoum - From what I remember KM Loukhoum was more a powdery honey rose almond candy
- Delina - I’ve tried both versions but own Maison Alhambra Delilah and Armaf Club de Nuit White Imperiale, so this is more my perspective of those being bolder, fruity, green, fresh, softened incense rose
- Good Girl Blush Elixir – a bold pink rose with the ylang ylang and patchouli
- Lattafa Affection - ksperfumeparadise on tiktok mentioned that Affection and NB share a similar style nutty accord; and when I tried side by side, with the exception of course NB being rose milk and almonds and Affection pistachio and hazelnut, it absolutely does! It explains the beautiful airy note to me.
For other comparisons I've seen, for me..
- Lattafa Yara - sweet milky pink floral, very slight touch similar but not edible and NB feels more dense in its notes yet airy.
- Amouage Guidance - Some have mentioned Guidance and I love it but I don’t see it at all in NB
So far to me, even though these are all in a similar realm with some similar notes and/or a mood, Noble Blush stands alone with its gorgeous rose milk note and airy meringue which makes it perfectly pink, fluffy, sweet and unique to my collection.
