Not your grandma's jasmine
I love my jasmine green, pert, fresh, and moth-ball-free. Fleur Diamantine is a sparkling debutante that checks all those boxes. She's youthful and earnest. The mint is just a hint, in the background with the saffron and almonds. The jasmine and neroli are the ones carrying the show here. It's not an overly complicated scent, but it's exactly what you need to feel pulled together and feminine. It's a fragrance that would feel great for spring or summer, but I like it in the colder months as well. To me, this perfume is just so full of hope and purity, I would wear it on my wedding day and on the day of my divorce. Why not, all new beginnings need to be so pleasantly green, white and unpretentious.

Beautiful jasmine, sparkling and bright
I'm always wary of jasmine, not because I don't like the real thing, but because in perfumes, it can react poorly with my skin. Too often, it turns indolic and nasty on my skin, with a predominant smell of mothballs. However, this was a nice surprise: it's jasmine in its nicest form, very clean and natural smelling. I don't get a strong smell of mint, but I think I can detect it in the general fresh aspect of this fragrance.

In sum, I wouldn't buy a full bottle of this because although I like it, I don't love it (I prefer orange blossom for my white floral). But this is definitely an amazing jasmine, and if you like jasmine I'd definitely recommend trying it out!

Green Tea with Jasmine at Grandma's
Freshly brewed green tea with jasmine. The expensive, good variety that becomes slightly bitter if steeped too long. Fresh, clear, jasmine with green notes. This is how Fleur Diamantine opens.
On the paper test strip, it develops quite differently than on the skin. On paper, it remains clear, always with a fresh note and dominant jasmine.
On the skin, however, a few more facets emerge. Generally, the jasmine is in the foreground, and the clear, green notes at the beginning have something very young, fresh, and, as I said, somehow evoke an association with green tea for me.
After about half an hour, the scent is only close to the skin for me; the jasmine now lies a bit softer, almost powdery over the other notes, which are not clearly distinguishable. Minimal mint freshness, but overall the scent becomes much darker, heavier, and also somewhat more mature. Now it suits less to young people than to the slightly melancholic aura in Grandma's living room. Not bad, still a beautiful scent, but much less sprightly.
However, the combination of jasmine and neroli is still intriguing; the light orange note comes through again and is held by mossy, deeper notes.
The saffron is a mystery to me; I don't really perceive it anywhere in the scent progression.

Overall, I would describe Fleur Diamantine as unisex with a feminine note, although it would also suit a well-groomed man (terrible cliché, but think George Clooney, gray-haired, suit, casually chic) quite well. I miss a bit of depth in this scent; the freshness at the beginning is fantastic, but afterwards, it tends to fade.

Unjustly underrated, it is one of the rare jasmine perfumes that is not heavy thanks to the mint. Complexity in simplicity.

Green, ascetic jasmine providing a tranquil path into meditation. Not particularly inventive, but a keen addition to the post-COVID palette.

White floral, fresh, green. Opens with a blast of neroli/jasmine. Some greenness from the mint, has a small petitgrain vibe. Very boring.

Very floral. You know those jelly toilet refreshers? It smells exactly like that. A good one though, not a cheap one.

I like the combo of neroli and jasmine. Saffron gets lost, mint adds a subtle freshness, and moss gives its green touch.

The combination of jasmine (dominant), neroli, and mint makes it a lovely heat scent; clean and fresh in the best sense; definitely*

Wow, that's quite a powerful jasmine scent. Extremely floral and soapy, with a bouquet of lily of the valley right under your nose. Achoo!

Starts a bit overwhelming, then a pleasant mix of jasmine, mint & neroli. Great summery-fresh floral scent. Tends to be feminine.

The image created when wearing it is more than successful. More art, less crowd-pleaser. Not a must-have, more of a must-test!

Neroli, neroli, and more neroli.
Jasmine makes an appearance,
everything else is hiding.
