When neroli meets spice...
... then you have arrived at Neroli Nasimba. With this fragrance, you will be surprised by the unconventional combination of the gentle, floral-citrusy neroli, spicy cardamom and authentic leather
With this fragrance, I would have expected something subtle like neroli to be lost in the face of its supposedly competing notes of cardamom and leather, which have a strong presence throughout the fragrance. Wrong - the neroli fights and fights. It even manages to dominate the "competition" for quite some time without becoming unpleasantly penetrating or synthetic, as is so often the case with neroli. Accordingly, I am less able to understand the current classification of the fragrance as "synthetic".
Later in the fragrance, the neroli loses its power, giving way to cardamom and leather, which lend the fragrance its elegant finish. If you are put off by the intensity of the leather in Oud Stallion, don't worry! Fortunately, you get a softer and more digestible version here; otherwise this fragrance wouldn't work either, as the neroli would be flattened by the horse leather.
Overall, I can say that Neroli Nasimba is a successful creation that successfully works with contrasts without destroying the fragrance. As is to be expected with a neroli fragrance, it lags slightly behind in terms of longevity and sillage in comparison within the Crivelli house; especially when a very high standard is set by bombs such as Oud Maracujá or the aforementioned Oud Stallion.
