I've noticed that on average, Maison Crivelli's product has been towards the top of new scents released by niche brands for a few years now (excluding the horrible
Patchouli Magnetik). With the brand having two successful hero franchises now in "Hibiscus MahaJád | Maison Crivelli" and
Oud Maracujá, the product will be garnering more eyes (noses) going forward and while not everything is special, the blending and the performance are yet to let me down within Crivelli's Extraits line (FWIW: their EDP line is light & boring).
It isn't much different with
Tubéreuse Astrale which in the opening is a floral fragrance with prominent peachy nuances (listed osmanthus). There are creamy facets and to me, there are also some very mild green facets. The blend feels good in the air, but as with most Crivelli products, you will not get elite blending.
When smelled up-close, the scent steers away from the prominent peachiness that I got in the open and the scent that begins to lead is the carrot seed which brings an ambrette style vintage powdery tone to the fragrance. At this point of the scent, the product begins to remind me of several scents from PureDistance, incl. last year's launch
Papilio. That vintage feel is a downgrade to the more memorable open which brought a unisex contrast of fruity & floral tones, somewhat similarly to the way that "Aqua Regia | XerJoff" does.

Even with the highlighted criticisms, I find myself considering a 5ml purchase. Outside of a 5ml, I have a very hard time selling myself on a bottle of this product (even if it was freely available for 20% below retail). The nice blending and the somewhat unique feel (at least in the niche realm) of the fragrance are contrasted by the fact that it is not, by any means, a memorable fragrance. The only thing this fragrance has going for it is that it opens nearing nuclear with outrageous sillage before it decreases to strong, with the longevity being 12+ hours as well (so the value here is definitely above average at €200/50ml). With all that said, I still encourage people to try this as I feel like there is enough here to warrant the recommendation.
