Rose Saltifolia Maison Crivelli 2018

If you're comparing between Rose atlantic by Ds and Durga and Rose saltifolia: Rose atlantic is the more citrusy, bright and sunny roses on the beach. Rose saltifolia is a windy and cloudy rose on the beach covered in sand.
I adore the seaweed accord, and to me, it makes it savoury. When I compare it to other rose perfumes, this one strikes the perfect balance between a fresh, dewy rose and a powdery classic rose, never sweet.
It genuinely feels like being in a rose garden near the ocean with a storm rolling in.

For all intents and purposes, it delivers what it says on the label. It's rosy and salty.

My two caveats include 1) that the marketing speak suggests something far more intense about swirling sand dunes and fiery bougainvillea, but it's really nothing of the sort. Soft, airy, and gentle, it's all baby pink and blue, seagulls in the distance, striped poplin shirting, etc. Very GAP women's (which isn't a read at all, I think it's a beautiful scent).

And 2) it's really quite weak both in terms of sillage and longevity. I really doused myself in this to see how far I could push it, and it still fades like that *snap*. I'm glad to hear it lasts longer on other reviewers' skin types, but for me, it certainly isn't worth the price tag with the performance.

I like this a lot in the opening and middle stages, which remind me of Calvin Klein Escape with the florals and salty marine/aquatic notes, but I’m not as fond of the drydown, which pretty much becomes a less sharp version of Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers. Still, this is a great summer fragrance and an interesting take that makes it different from a typical rose. Very wearable.

A lovely salty, airy rose. Very aquatic and elegantly musky. The notes mix really well and I can see why everyone seems to be enamored by this modern take on a watery rose that is youthful and uplifting. The performance isn’t bad either, sticks to skin well and makes you feel fresh during humid hot days. I will say there is something a bit plain for me to buy a full bottle, but it’s not bad at all.

This little salty rose brought so much joy to my soul. Roses have been surprising me a lot recently, I had no idea they could exist in so many colors and unusual combinations. I mean, duh... My fault, really. Rose Saltifolia is definitely a beach bunny. She`s young and fresh, and the algae give her that feeling of having just come out from a swim in the ocean, her skin full of gritty sand clinging on, still shivering with goose bumps as she towels off the seawater. A simple, out of left field scent that is perfect for summer. There`s no low tide funk here. Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where Kramer was pitching his perfume concept for a day at the beach to Calvin Klein. I believe Rose Saltifolia would`ve blown Kramer`s mind.
