Give It a Chance
Don't let the synthetic opening put you off: this is a simple yet pleasing fragrance. The vanilla is the star but there is a delicious caramel opening that delights. The drydown is a soft melding of caramel and vanilla with the fruit notes receding to the background.
No, this is not niche quality, but it is worth the eighteen dollars it is sold for. The bottle is hefty and attractive and the sillage and longevity are not bad. The scent itself is what I wished Ambre A Sade to be but it never was: vanilla caramel dessert with a fruit jam swirl.
