Unforgettable and a top-favourite for Summer
Habanita is so in your face that it is difficult to imagine this house being capable of producing anything soft or fresh. Molinard de Molinard is that freshness I was looking for. This really is a fragrance that deserves far more accolade than is given.

I find this fragrance more green rather than fruity. It opens with crisp, sparkling citrus and soapy, green accords. It's a very classic smelling fragrance, like the reviewers have already noted. At first I thought that Molinard de Molinard may be a little one-dimensional, however I was wrong.

The floral heart is quite pretty and feminine, though perhaps not feminine in the way you would expect. Lily of the valley, jasmine and narcissus tend to stand out to my nose the most, presented in a rather refreshing and green manner. The most intriguing aspect of the composition are the vetiver and incense notes, which create an earthy and smokey finish, which I personally adore.

I love how Fragrance-Magic (on Fragrantica) described it as, "grassy incense", because that's exactly how I see it. It's refreshing enough for Spring and Summer, however the 'incensey vibe' makes me long to wear this in the Winter months too.

I find it similar to Chanel No.19, just perhaps not as sharp. It's quite bittersweet in some ways, but lovely nonetheless. Molinard de Molinard captivates me in a way that is difficult to put into words. I don't usually like green scents, but with all that delicious ambery and incensey goodness, I cannot resist.

Unusuality at every turn
This fragrance opens with bergamot, blackcurrant bud and galbanum. The aroma begins very cheerfully, fresh, sometimes even spicy. In the middle, rose, incense, jasmine and ylang-ylang begin to smell. It creates a pleasant feeling of pollen. Although this is my feeling, the aroma may be cloying to some. At the end it smells like everything it says: amber, patchouli and vetiver. Very spicy aroma, with slight bitterness.

Huch, where did it go?
I had Molinard under my nose a long time ago, and I didn't like the scent very much back then. Then came GothicHearts' enchanting comment, and I was almost inclined to order it blindly. A fragrance that forgives everything, who couldn't use that? But then there was Turandot's comment mentioning garlic and onions, and that burst the dream. And now Minigolf's comment followed, well, suddenly the scent was on my watchlist, and shortly after, thanks to a bargain, it now sits in my closet.

The scent opens fresh and fruity, with a slightly sweetened blackcurrant coming through, the bergamot just barely noticeable. Overall, it has a powdery, no, rather chalky touch and reminds me a bit of Courrèges in Blue. After a short time, the fragrance becomes warmer, with flowers that I can't identify individually joining in. But for me, Molinard remains predominantly fruity and green, the incense doesn't make an appearance at all, but I quickly pick up the patchouli. And that's unfortunately it; after an hour, the scent has already faded significantly, and after two hours, it's gone. Mr. Pluto had trouble sniffing anything on my arm after the first hour. The all-day test yesterday went similarly, despite warm temperatures and a few more sprays. Because this Molinard needs hot temperatures to come into its own.

Molinard has a distinctive note that I can't quite identify, making it unmistakable. However, I'm not head over heels, perhaps because the scent evaporates so quickly on me, lacking development and depth as a result.

Headless would be preferable for me
With some fragrances, I wish you could get them without a top note. Molinard is one of them. The perfume startles me with an opening that reminds me of a stay in England. There, plum jam with sautéed onions and mustard was served as a side dish with steak. In Molinard, it’s the currants that have been slaughtered with the scent of garlic and onions, but the result is very similar. This top note, which comes across as very unpleasant on my skin, doesn’t last too long, but it’s still too much. It doesn’t help me at all that afterwards a beautiful floral heart blooms and an even more beautiful base asks for forgiveness.
Medusa is right, Molinard works magic, turning a frog into a prince, but I just can’t bring myself to kiss the frog.

One of Prince's go-to fragrances. The Purple One liked it green, sweet, pseudo-chypre and feminine. Manages to be both elegant and cheap.

Bitter-herb opening, green-floral heart, very unique & interesting, slightly indolic. Completely, completely different from Habanita.

On a cool summer morning, wandering through crisp greenery. Passing by stinky flowers into the sunny white-flower garden with a hint of indole. Quite nice.

I won't give a rating, as I already don't like the similar "L'Heure Bleue." With my skin chemistry, I smell like a wet dog! Shaking my head!

Bitter/spicy/grassily staged, a delicate indolic bouquet, a hint of hay sweetness, smoke, suggested leather, soap. Successful, demanding.
