Name Should have been Classy Leather

Extremely nice, heavy bottle and sprayer. People compare it Ombre Leather, but its far closer to Ombre Leather Parfum, as it has that combination of soft clean leather and floral notes. Of course, Iris is the only flower here, but its very beautiful and very well balanced. Its also less sweet than Ombre Leather Parfum. Performance isnt amazing, but good for an office scent. Longevity is about 1-2 hrs of fairly light projection before it needs a respray. Despite this -- its bottle worthy and excellently priced for the quality. I like it a lot and reach for it often. I also have a second bottle.

A very interesting leather

Usually, leather is not a note that I enjoy. It reminds me of cars and it gives me a nauseous feeling. Which is why I was very surprised when this leather forward scent caught my attention. The leather/saffron mix gives way to a powdery, soft, iris musky heart until dying back down to a muted musky/leather combo which goes pretty well with me. As others said below, nothing extreme about it. It is pretty mild and enjoyable if you can get past the punchy opening. It has intrigued me quite a bit and it is worthy of trying if these notes appeal to you, but don't expect a saddle.

Dior Homme 2011 and Ombré Leather fusion:

This one has grown on me. The name is not appropriate. In no way is this fragrance harsh or extreme. This is a very soft, elegant, powdery leather. Velvet Leather is more appropriate name.

The Iris in this is not lipsticky or cloying. It’s rather earthy and vegetal, very comforting nevertheless.

Sits close to the skin but lasts decently long as get whiffs of it all day.

I also love wearing it to bed, it’s so comforting, like a second skin.
