Blooming Acacia Avenue in May!
Did you know that our native acacias are related to all mimosa species? Only our acacias are hardy and do not fold their leaves together when touched. This scent is a walk in May, through an avenue full of blooming acacias. The creamy white flower clusters hang heavily down and envelop the entire surroundings in an opulent and sweet fragrance. Mimosaique is dreamily beautiful and we have streets lined with acacias here. Now in the pyramid it says: "Yellow Mimosa," so I did some research:
The flowers look like small yellow balls and they hang on long racemes. So, it looks like a blooming bouquet and that is beautiful. They smell too. Yes, when you walk through such an acacia grove, you don’t even need to open your eyes, you can already smell it. It is a very sweet, slightly honey-like scent.
I hadn’t noticed the anise at all. I smell the month of joy. Everything is green and blooming. The jasmine bush at friends' house in front of the home exudes an enchanting fragrance, but iris (and not the roots) prevents the whole thing from drifting into a sweet note.
I am thrilled and it’s a pity that this wonderful scent is probably no longer officially available.
