Fruity rose + oud
After the initial spicy opening, Mana has a sweet blast of oud and jammy rose. Smells quite girlie. After a short while, the sweetness pulls back but the rose has a very jammy or fruity smell. Overall, I'd say it's a unisex fragrance. Oud and rose last for a considerable time. Towards the end, all that remains is a sorta creamy/woody scent. Performance is very good. Long lasting with good sillage and projection for a few hours at least.

Overall, Mana is not my style.

Also ja.

Leathery punch in the face
I was surprised not to see civet or some other strongly animalic note in this perfume. There is something about it that reminds me of animal urine. Perhaps it's the musk?

The leather and suede are also very strong. Cardamom and tobacco give it an overwhelming pungent spiciness. The dry-down does improve slightly, as the rose note appears and brings about a pleasant, albeit "vintage," soapiness.

This is a primal and very manly "stink" to me. I'm sure this is for someone, but it's definitely not for me. I truly cannot stand this fragrance.

The Turkish Steam Hammer / The Noble Statement Fragrance / Do the Comparisons to LV Ombre Nomade Hold True?
Hello everyone,

today I would like to TALK about a fragrance that, in my personal perception, deserves much more attention. So today it's about Mana!

I'll start directly with the question that most of you are surely interested in.

Do the comparisons to Ombre Nomade hold true?

My personal opinion (!!!) is rather no, BUT I can understand anyone who sees it that way.

Why?

Nishane is a house that sometimes LIKES to look left and right, observes the market, and draws inspiration from things, and this also happened here with Ombre Nomade!
(Inspiration is not cloning, as that is not the case here!)

The Mana is rounder, nobler, and of higher quality - yes, LV lovers might tear me apart for this, but let me explain why I like the Ombre Nomade less.

It is good and noble - no question about it, and the price factor compared to Mana is hefty, I completely agree with that, but I have the problem that the Ombre Nomade is too aggressive for ME; it screams all the time, HERE, HEY HERE, I AM HERE! and that is too exhausting and annoying for me (even as a wearer).

I only know the batches up to 2022, if anything has changed to be "softer," please let me know!

In my perception, the Ombre Nomade only plays with oud, incense, and occasionally the raspberry says HELLO, and only after x to xx hours does the benzoin actively join in). With the "Mana | Nishane," it is a interplay of oud, rose, saffron (and some other spices), and in the background, there are immediately more woods, musk, and a bit of labdanum, but the fragrance lingers for a very long time and develops slowly - please note!

For me, there is more to discover here, and it often shows me new facets / develops differently and is not a loudmouth like the "Ombre Nomade | Louis Vuitton."

Test both against each other and you may also see / notice / sniff it.

Performance:

Anyone who gives the Mana less than a 9 or 10 in the H/S category, I cannot understand, sorry. Whether you like it is another matter, that is clear, but when it comes to performance, it is a true monster in terms of 12h, 14h, 16h and only after (!) does it become calm and gentle, but certainly not before!

For whom and when is it recommended:

This is always very, very difficult to say with such special fragrances; some would say work, some would say when going out to eat - I would say YES YES, but it is a matter of dosage, as it is strong. Primarily, for me, it is a STATEMENT FRAGRANCE, it is one as it should be, it is very CONSISTENT!

And when?

From October to March, it works really well in my opinion!

Is it worth the money?

This can only be evaluated subjectively and relatively. If I say yes and you say no, or I say no and you say yes, it really brings it down to relativity in my opinion. I like to evaluate a fragrance based on what it can do, what it offers, how it is made, and so on. And with this fragrance, you can really feel the quality, and that is no lie! Nishane always delivers in terms of quality, and you often see what is possible and feasible, and I would say it like this, you should definitely test it!

So far, 99% of everyone has liked / loved the fragrance, but only with a subtle dosage of 2 - 3 sprays; otherwise, it becomes modest here :P!

Recommendation:

If I really weren't convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you!
(At least for a test, and if you like this direction, then I wish you heartfelt congratulations on your new Mana)

And now have a nice day / evening or whenever you read this review, best regards, Benny
_______

(Now the same as almost always - because it applies!)

Now to the topic of luxury:

As you can see in part in my profile, I have really smelled many fragrances, and there are fragrances where you can smell a certain (sometimes strong) synthetics, and you quickly realize that some fragrance houses tend to go for quantity over quality, and there are some where you can tell, "Oh come on, let's just put in more + better," and you can smell that at the end of the day.

A brief note on the topic of packaging, bottle, sprayer:

I'll keep it short: I give a 10 out of 10 in every category, and I know very well that tastes are very different. So if someone honestly rates this with an 8 or less... - PHEW. Beautiful and very high-quality cap, nice timeless bottle design, leather case, etc.... so I find it very hard to rate it differently, and I don't say this because I like or dislike a brand!

Now a short note on my opinion:

I am not sponsored, influenced by anyone, receiving money or anything else. I approach the topic of perfume as I am, being honest; everything else is not my style. My true personal opinion is very VALUABLE to me, and I hope perhaps ;) that this is noticeable. If I don't like something, like packaging, bottle, sprayer, or H/S, I will communicate that too!

Unfortunately, a DNA I've smelled so often before…
I have wanted to test Mana for a long time because I really like the bottles from the Prestige Collection. Of course, in the end, the scent is more important than the bottle, but the bottle was somehow the trigger for me to get a sample of Mana. My expectations are naturally higher for Mana, as the retail price here is already above that of a 50 ml bottle of Roja and also above a 50 ml bottle of Spirit of Dubai Gen 1.

Now to the scent itself: Mana is an absolutely solid fragrance, that could be my short description for Mana if I had to compress my review into one sentence. Now I want to explain why I only find Mana solid. Mana is a rose oud fragrance with a soft leather note and a light saffron note. Unfortunately, this exact combination already exists very often, almost identically or comparably. Examples include Oud Pashmina and Ombre Nomade or also Tuscan Leather Eau de Parfum (without oud but otherwise similar). I can hardly recognize the notes of the base; only a bit of patchouli and labdanum. Unfortunately, Mana is far too one-dimensional for me; nothing new comes after spraying, the scent remains mostly identical from the top note to the base note. That’s why I am also disappointed with Mana, because with other brands I simply get much more for my money. I just miss something that makes Mana unique or memorable. Mana simply hasn’t stuck in my memory at all. In 2-3 months, I would probably have forgotten about Mana and would have to look at my notes on it.

However, the longevity is, as typical for Nishane, impressive. Mana lasted over 14 hours on me, and the sillage was also in a very good range, perceptible for almost 10 hours at arm's length, and only becomes close to the skin after 12-13 hours.

Performance is an upgrade from Ombré Nomade (14h+ on skin). Scent wise, near identical w/soapy undertone. Endgame fragrance, delirious RRP.

A very beautiful oriental, leather-oud fragrance with a spicy touch of cardamom. Very smooth and well blended. Good performance as well.

Overwhelmingly pungent, masculine, animalic blend of woody spiciness. Not a safe blind buy at all. Must love leather.

This is essentially a higher quality ombre nomade. It’s less sweet and cloying, less synthetic and more intense.

Dark and slightly animalic leather with a rose|oud combo, saffron, cardamom and smoke. Elegant and mysterious oriental. Great performance.

Opens saffron & rose with dark undertones. Woody transition at first & leathery in the end, has prominent rose throughout. Blended smoothly.

Freshly-painted lacquer/varnish + just-waxed pebbled leather. There's a carrot-like nuance to the subtle rose. Different from Ombre Nomade.

It's a really good oud/leather scent, yet for a ridiculous price. Rose and saffron add density and make it heavy. Long lasting, classy base.

A spicy learher, rose oud that feels resinous touched with a smokiness, stunning. A Nishane that I love, along with Shem and Nefs. Superb!
