White, Green, and Soft Yellow
When I received the coffret of the three Forvil fragrances, I initially didn't expect much. The coffret itself shows some signs of age, as do the bottles. Two are sealed with a plastic stopper, which fortunately closes very well. One bottle has damage to the glass, and all three were quite dirty.
Then I cleaned the coffret and the bottles, and the result was a great surprise. The small box suddenly revealed a beautiful, bright turquoise with nature-colored, stylized flowers, and the bottles transformed into little beauties. Each bottle contains about 12 ml of pure perfume. And that was the third surprise! The fragrances exhibit a wonderful uniqueness.
I started with Les 5 Fleurs - I expected something similar to 3 Fleurs by Parfum d'Empire and prepared myself accordingly. However, 5 Fleurs is one of the most beautiful spring fragrances I have encountered so far. I can distinctly perceive jasmine, lily of the valley, and neroli, but I also think there is lilac and mimosa in there, which give the composition the appropriate creaminess. Jasmine, lily of the valley, and neroli shine with their fresh, cool, and clear floral notes, constantly alternating in their concentration.
Les 5 Fleurs doesn't have a real progression; it weakens after 8 hours and then remains as a very light floral veil on the skin. But the time until then is a true delight. The fragrance is neither too strong, nor too sweet, nor too overpowering - the fragrance components are perfectly balanced.
A wonderful little treasure from this almost forgotten French perfumery!
