Stone fruit and sandalwood
The day after spritzing, the stone fruit and sandalwood scents are still strong. I also have the body wash, which is overwhelmingly sandalwood. I don't know about the perfume, but the sillage of the body wash is obnoxious for a while. I could smell it two rooms away after hubby used the body wash last night. I suggested that we do a test spritz with the matching perfume. It layered well and made his test smell more masculine.
My scent journey started out with apricot pit and leaf, and it ends with wood, but I got the fruit in the middle -- they gave us the whole tree! I did smell more plum in the middle than apricot, and the woodsy and cardamom notes made me think it would be good for winter, even though the florals and stone fruits should suggest summer. It didn't smell sweet like plum cake to me, but it gave me the wintry *idea* of plum pudding or sugarplums, whereas hubby thought it was "weird" when that quiet December vibe was jumbled with the late spring/early summer floral notes that emerged from time to time.
I'm curious to know from those who have tried them, how does this strongly sandalwood fragrance compare to the famous Santal 33, and also compare (or contrast?) with Aventus, which has fruit and sandalwood in its notes?
