Sun-kissed sea salt skin scent perfect for summer!
Boy, am I glad I decided to go for the travel size and not listen to the negative reviews I saw on Fragrantica. To my nose and my skin chemistry, this lovely perfume is a clear winner for summer vibes. I wouldn't wear it during any other season. I've always had a bit of difficulties at understanding what a solar perfume is but with this one, I can now say I get it.
The perfume starts out with a well-blended mix of jasmine and citrus which creates an unusual accord (at least to me). I have never smelled anything remotely similar until now. The jasmine borders on the indolic and powdery aspect, but the salt note that's deep down at the bottom reaches out to keep it in check. The citrus fruits are tangy, zesty and playful. They do fade after 15 or so minutes, leaving the floor to the other white flowers that finally do come through. Orange blossom becomes the most prominent note to me and gives a lovely soapy, clean vibe, while the jasmine closely follows after. On my skin, salt stays omnipresent throughout the duration of the perfume. It finally fades into a soft salty, woody and musky base that's pleasant to the nose, like the sun setting after a great day frolicking at the beach.
Overall it's a lovely sun-kissed scent that's perfect for summer with its bright ctruses and beautiful white flowers. The salt note is quite strong to me and the florals remind me of my mother which is why I won't be adding it to my collection. Nonetheless, it's a lovely scent!
