Unexpected frontrunner
When I bought my discovery set from Phlur, I immediately overlooked Lost Cause in favour of Somebody Wood and Missing Person. I then promptly forgot about my tester for about two years. When I went to try it on again, I was very pleasantly surprised.
Typically, I swear up and down that I hate white florals in perfume, especially jasmine. But in Lost Cause, it just works. It's quietly fresh and clean, with a sweetness that rounds it out. No cleaning chemical harshness, or shampoo scent. I don't get much if any of the fruity notes. There's something of a masculine edge to it, which I really like. Moderate performance settles into light skin scent within an hour or so.
Of course, by the time I had come around to this perfume, it's been discontinued. So like two boats in the night, we shall leave each other after a brief and enjoyable meeting.
