A whiff of nothing...
Swim / SX (sporty sexy) is Pierre Guillaume's new Aquat. A summer perfume on a mineral-aquatic basis with hints of sun cream and hemp. The vision of sensual, salty skin in summer - according to the manufacturer.
The fragrance starts immediately after spraying hot-alcoholic and even slightly citric. Immediately thereafter it becomes sweet-aquatic with a striking green hint. Hard for me to tell if I smell algae or hemp. Thanks to the saltiness, the algae and the rosewood, to my surprise I feel a little reminded of Ton Ford's Oud Minérale - only sweeter and, above all, much weaker. I perceive the scent as flat, or in other words as a scent with little depth. I can't clearly assign any of the scents to the head, heart or base notes because they are too close to each other for me if you understand what I mean...? All in all, the opening is okay, nothing that knocks me out. However, I already criticize the weak intensity here.
As the fragrance progresses, the aquatic disappears almost completely and the fragrance is no longer fresh. Instead, sweet-powdery ylang moves up and the manufacturer's description of sun milk becomes clearly comprehensible. Here the fragrance is quite feminine. A hint of "green", probably algae, remains subtly recognizable. The fragrance remains constant from this point and no longer develops.
I like the fragrance best at the opening, but there are many other perfumes that can do these fragrances, aquatic-green or later sun cream, simply better.
The absolutely biggest problem with Swim / SX is the general performance. The shelf life is still okay, but the scent is frighteningly fast to smell only very close, maximum after one hour, rather earlier. The intensity and consequently the sillage are underground. In this sense, I can only describe this perfume as a "breath of nothing". Of course you can apply generously or spray on textiles, but that's probably not the point
