Spearminty fresh and powdered Oleander
The opening of this is heavenly. You get a gorgeous fresh waft of Mint, Neroli and Orange blossom. It is so smooth and natural smelling. As it dries the powdery sweet Oleander Rose and Iris come through more with a hint of LOTV. In the drydown it has that lovely soft cotton laundry musk that is in most the newer infusions. The only downside is its pretty light, airy and transparent. But not bad longevity for an EDT.

Whoever doesn't like this scent is silly :D
Ah, this is so wonderful. My wish to test most (or actually all) of Prada's infusion fragrances has come a step closer thanks to one of my dearest friends. With a small sample from her, I was finally able to test and comment on the fragrance with the almost cumbersome, double-barreled name d’Iris L’Eau d’Iris (almost similar to Chanel's Sport Cologne Sport).

Of course, all soap opponents (dirty dirty...) should now look away or not continue reading, because the scent does smell soapy, yes, but as I have written about some Prada fragrances before, it is NOT just soap.

*sigh*

Actually, I should feel sorry for the dirty little ones... I meant the soap opponents, because they are missing out on a beautiful, very pleasant scent with this one, whose only downside is the somewhat weak sillage... which is why it unfortunately misses a higher rating, but still, 8.5 points is pretty good and already falls into my "buy category"...

The scent:
At first, before one can even identify any of the notes, you immediately perceive the absolutely typical and wonderful Prada DNA, which always exudes a clean feeling. Then the top note consists of mint and neroli, with the mint being the stronger note. This makes the scent quite fresh. Additionally, you can also smell something slightly sweet, but I'm not quite sure where this sweetness comes from. Maybe from the lily of the valley?
In any case, in the heart note, the neroli becomes noticeably weaker, but the mint remains fairly strong. Light and (thankfully) non-stuffy floral notes come into play. But as always, the iris gives the fragrance a wonderful note that makes it beautifully powdery and soft. At every moment, you can smell these clean notes that give off the typical Prada soapy scent and convey a great feeling of cleanliness.
In the base, not much seems to change, as the listed woody notes in this fragrance are weaker and hardly make an impact. The musk may give off a slight sweet note, but you can also smell it quite weakly. I could hardly smell any vanilla either. Thus, the fragrance remains soft and powdery in the base due to the iris, slightly floral and slightly sweet. All in all, a consistently excellent fragrance. However, the scent does lose a bit of the Prada DNA starting from the base or rather becomes weaker.

Longevity and sillage:
The fragrance belongs to the infusions, which unfortunately do not last as long. At least on my skin, it barely managed four to five hours with effort, as after that it was really only extremely weakly present.
The sillage is actually also a reason to cry *sniff*
Because it projects little and will only be detectable at first, before you have to get very close to the lady to sniff her scent. For oneself, the scent lingers a bit longer in the nose, but even here it soon seems weak.

The bottle:
And again, we have the beautiful rectangular bottle, which has the well-known (but this time pink-tinted) Prada plaque on the front. The bottle also has a lovely light pink gradient, while the bottom becomes greener. The cap is cylindrical and covered with a pink fabric. As always, a very beautiful bottle.

Hmm, with all the beautiful Prada fragrances, it's really hard to decide which one I prefer. Even though almost all have the typical Prada DNA, they (the d’Iris fragrances) each have their own scent, so they don't all smell the same or very similar. With the Infusion d’Iris (from 2007), for example, I had the feeling that it smelled stronger of vetiver. Here, however, we have a scent that is also iris-powdery, but seems more relaxed and floral. But: Both smell wonderful!

Since the L’Eau here has turned out to be too weak in projection, it is more suitable as a fragrance for leisure or as a daytime scent. So a scent that is more for oneself and thus should smell good to oneself, while the lady using the fragrance also smells wonderful to everyone else up close. But as I said, you have to almost hug her to notice the scent on her, but maybe that could also be given as a reason to give someone a tight squeeze ;-)
In any case, the scent fits well in spring and summer; on colder days, it would dissipate too quickly...

I am really glad that a dear friend introduced me to the world of Prada fragrances, otherwise I would have missed out on something wonderful. So, now I just need a few more of the infusions... who will help me complete my comments? *looking very sweet* :D

What? No one?!... just soap haters here...

*blub blub* = soap bubbles, he he he...

surprising!
I confess, I did it again.... another blind buy moved in with me yesterday. And it was Infusion d'Iris L'eau d'Iris. Why this one in particular, even though soooo many others are actually higher on my list of notes and wishes, I don't know. Maybe karma, because for me it was an absolute hit. About the scent: after my eager spritz, my first thought was: wow, this is strong! Full of fear of having another mucous membrane killer in front of me, I sniffed again cautiously...my nose detected something still quite unusual, namely mint. Fresh and a bit like mint gum. Please don't take this negatively; I perceive it as a very pleasant note. I'm not a big fan of aquatic scents, so this mint scent is a great solution to make a perfume into a summer fragrance. After about half an hour, the flowers join in. Mainly lily of the valley and iris, at least for me. These add a certain powderiness to the scent. And L'eau d'Iris remains true to this line. It becomes increasingly powdery and softer, maybe due to the musk?! Because I hardly smell vanilla. I would almost call it a cuddly scent...but that's not entirely accurate, as the mint note never completely disappears. Even if only slightly, I still perceive it throughout the entire scent journey and I'm glad about that. Because it is exactly this mint that ensures that the scent doesn't sink into floralness and become a boring mainstream floral, but rather remains interesting. One could also say it gives it its very own character.
I find the longevity to be quite good--applied in the morning for work, I can still smell a light hint in the evening. Sillage is present but not overwhelming and breathtaking.
For me, a true stroke of luck. A noble feel-good scent with a very personal touch that never feels out of place. Great :-)

Fresh-floral-creamy
Good interplay of all fragrance nuances = I can't specifically identify anything except mint. Interestingly, I occasionally perceive a nutty note in the sillage. This L'Eau is fresh, floral, and somewhat creamy, and somehow also gives off a bit of warmth. I don't understand how this fragrance could be considered a twin to "Eau Parfumée au Thé Bleu," which for me is mainly powdery.

A nice scent for spring and summer, suitable for any occasion. I would say that thanks to the mint and bay, the gentlemen can also give it a try.

I thank Clarabella for the opportunity to test this.

Prada Prada why do you always overwhelm me like this...
Hi guys and gals,
after reading along here for a whole year and finding your reviews very helpful and also amusing, it was time for me to register myself and hereby write my first review. Although I am a true perfume freak and store more than 150 fragrances in their original packaging, cool and dark, I do not have a super nose to recognize and distinguish all fragrance notes. Maybe I can do better when I return from the Côte d'Azur in October this year and fulfill my dream of visiting a perfume factory in Grasse.

But now, let's get straight to this scent:
Right upon spraying, I clearly smelled the loyalty of the Infusion line. The Tubereuse, for example, was very strongly different and represented a completely unique fragrance, but this edition is very close to the classic Infusion. However, I had expected much more mint; instead, I was immediately "overwhelmed" by the floral scent of lily of the valley, which is classic for Prada fragrances. I find that the iris is somewhat pushed into the background by the lily.
Since I had an appointment and did not want to show up with this lily of the valley scent, I tried to have it removed by the saleswoman with a cotton ball soaked in alcoholic tonic. However, this did not really work, so I assess the longevity on the skin as top-notch. However, I can't say much about the base.
Since I have had initial difficulties with all Prada fragrances so far and they all count among my favorites today, I will give the lily of the valley another chance; perhaps the base will help me overcome this in the heart note.

Though mint and neroli are listed, it starts and stays pink-powdery-floral. You might as well just stick with the original.

Here, the Prada iris DNA doesn't play a big role. Fresh, very herbaceous-green at the start, it remains drier and woodier than floral. Timeless.

Fresh flowers washed with the finest soap in a cloud of musk. Lovely, friendly, cheerful. Iris gets a bit overshadowed. Really pretty.

I like it so much better than the Absolue: green, fresh, lightly minty, yet still powdery-floral. A cheerful spring scent. Beautiful!

Delicate powdery iris scent with the right hint of mint and neroli. I really like it. Feminine, pure. A nose relaxation after a testing marathon.

A bright, pure, almost clean version of Prada's Infusion d'Iris that gives a wonderfully polished feeling & just simply exists.

This sweet-powdery, musky-floral cloud reminds me of grape sugar. I used to enjoy it as a kid when there was nothing better around.

Very unclear iris, nice floral scent, creamy-sweet-friendly, with a hint of citrus. Woody base with a slight cigarette ash note.

Delicate powdery, floral green scent. Prada-typical light soapy/clean. The mint adds a wonderful freshness, better for me than the EDP :)
