Great distinctive oriental with a wonderful freshness
The Khair line from the brand Paris Corner is really great. There are now 6 fragrances in this line, and all of them have convinced me so far. They are all "dupes" or inspired scents from lesser-known fragrances, at least not the usual suspects that already have x-dupes. This one is supposed to be a dupe of Gissah's "Imperial Valley (Eau de Parfum) | Gissah / قصة." This fragrance is slightly hyped, but I must admit that it has passed me by. It is also relatively hard to find, and you won't find it in common shops. If you do, it's usually quite expensive. This Khair line is quite affordable, and these releases cost only about 20€ per 100ml. If this is indeed similar to Imperial Valley, I can understand the slight hype. This fragrance has character and something special in its DNA, a wonderful oriental freshness. Even if you don't know this Gissah (like me), this is a great release that comes across as likable and stands out well from the usual daytime fragrances from the perfumery.

To enjoy this fragrance, you have to be able to handle louder and oriental notes, as this oriental note is quite "offensive" and clearly stands out from the crowd. It can be cool if you don't like these notes, but it can also be overwhelming.
The bottles and the overall appearance are quite good. These golden caps and the beautiful glass are convincing.
In the opening, you get a mix of fruity notes, including a fresh citrus from bergamot and zesty grapefruit. The fruit mix has a juicy quality, and the combination of citrus and fruit is convincing. The base DNA of the fragrance is thoroughly oriental, which you can already notice in the opening. This oriental note brings wonderful edges and facets to this freshness, creating a composition with recognizability. The heart note of floral notes (specifically oriental rose), patchouli, and cedarwood is quite harmonious, and the transitions flow smoothly from this fruity-citrus top note. Amber and musk provide a soft base, with a pleasant sweetness coming through. Overall, a great daily scent that offers a wonderful mix of freshness, oriental elements, wood, and a warm base. It can absolutely be worn as a daytime fragrance on milder and not warm days.
Performance is quite good. The sillage with this oriental DNA is really good at first and then becomes a bit milder, but remains at a good level. Longevity is satisfactory with a minimum of 8 hours. The fragrance is unisex, provided the oriental notes are desired.

In conclusion, I can say: A great oriental freshie that becomes a bit warmer towards the end. As for the similarity to the original, I can't say much, but it convinces me with this interesting DNA.

Great DNA for a Slim Wallet
During my search for exciting gems in the oriental fragrance world, I came across "Imperial Valley (Eau de Parfum) | Gissah / قصة" some time ago, and the scent has always fascinated me. Here and there, you hear that this is the IT-DNA of the Arabic fragrance world in recent years. Since the original is unfortunately very hard to find here, and I was very interested in the DNA, I thought I would give it a try.

And the fragrance DNA is indeed exciting. To my nose, the fresh and citrus notes combine with a certain lightness, and in the background, there’s a leather-oud combo, creating a very pleasing scent. This combination of fresher and leatherier fragrance notes is surprisingly wearable and versatile, and I can understand why the DNA is so popular in Arab countries.

The fragrance notes themselves are not really definable for me individually, but the overall impression is truly a pleasant scent that combines the essence of oriental and everyday wear very well. In my opinion, the fragrance is also a great companion in spring and summer, but I find that due to the combination of notes, the scent actually works year-round. One shouldn't be deterred here; I find the scent to be not demanding or even animalistic at all.

I must also say that I can compare the fragrance DNA with very few scents here, but if I had to compare it to a well-known scent, I would most likely think of "Nouveau Monde | Louis Vuitton." Not that the fragrances smell incredibly similar, but I find the approach to combining leathery oud scents with lighter notes somewhat similar. I also think that the leathery oud notes in this fragrance slightly resemble the Assam oud from LV, even though 0.0% of Assam oud was used here. Especially for the price, I find the quality of the fragrance to be good; I wouldn't have categorized it in this price range blindly.

Longevity and projection are unfortunately the aspects where you notice the low price, at least in my experience. The scent is unfortunately not the longest-lasting on my skin, but the projection is quite present at the beginning. However, for the price, you can spray more or apply it more frequently throughout the day.

Currently, you can find the fragrance between €20 and €30 for 100ml, and that is definitely a price worth testing. Especially if you are interested in the DNA of "Imperial Valley (Eau de Parfum) | Gissah / قصة" without wanting to spend too much money and are looking for an oriental fragrance for spring and summer that is simply something different from the usual freshies here. However, there are now really many dupes of "Imperial Valley (Eau de Parfum) | Gissah / قصة," such as "Empire Empress | Khadlaj / خدلج," "Sultan the Founder / سلطان | French Avenue," or even Arabiyat - Lutfah the seventh heaven. Whether Khair is the best dupe, I doubt, but it is certainly one of the cheapest dupes for anyone wanting to experience the DNA. Perhaps it’s worth spending a little more money on "Sultan the Founder / سلطان | French Avenue," but I can't say that at this moment.

Feels good for warm weather. Bright, happy, citrus. Smells more expensive than it is.

A great all-rounder that (almost) always works. I would skip it only at temperatures above 25°C. Very nice citrus notes at the top.

Great fresh-spicy scent with an oriental twist. Perfect for daily wear with a woody base, quite uncomplicated and very affordable. Awesome.
