Great fresh cheapie under €50
Here’s a review of a fragrance that flies a bit under the radar: the Water Splash version of the La Femme line. The name sounds a bit like a body spray or a cologne, but it is an Eau de Toilette. This is the counterpart to the great "L'Homme Water Splash | Prada," which I secured twice. Both seem to be discontinued, and perhaps only the remaining stock is being sold, but I'm not sure. What’s great is that these bottles are exclusively available in 150ml, which fits perfectly with this fresh DNA, as you can refresh yourself wonderfully without having to be stingy with the application. The name Water Splash is well chosen as it offers a fantastic freshness kick. The MSRP for these 150ml is over €100, but you can already find it for under €50. This is truly a fantastic price if you enjoy fresh no-brainers. The DNA is reminiscent of L'Eau La Femme L'Eau with its floral lightness. I can absolutely recommend this fragrance if you want a beautiful bottle in your collection and a scent that is fresh and convincing.
The box is really pretty, just like the cover on the bottle, it’s quite uplifting. The bottle is completely round and doesn’t have the leather patch on the back like the others in the line. It definitely feels good in the hand and does justice to Prada. The glass and the cap are also very beautiful.
As mentioned, the Water Splash has a bit of the DNA of La Femme L'Eau, and the freshness is roughly on the same level. The floral freshness from lily of the valley, frangipani, and magnolia is present for several hours and kicks in right from the first second. Frangipani gives the fragrance a tropical and summery touch, fitting the Water Splash concept. The lily of the valley is also very significant for a cheerful floral bouquet. Of course, this is further refreshed by citrus-green notes. Mandarin & mandarin leaf are a great combination at the start and refreshing for warm days. I also perceive some light neroli vibes. In the last hours, green notes and a refined sandalwood note come through. Overall, it’s a very pleasant blend that completely convinces me and is always wearable when temperatures are above 20 degrees. Of course, it’s also a great choice for everyday wear and sporty activities. The scent profile is feminine, fresh, and floral-clean.
The performance is not bad, and it lasts longer than expected. A minimum of 6 hours is achievable, and the first hours project really well. After 2-3 hours, it’s more intimate. This Water Splash is, in my opinion, most suitable as a fragrance for casual wear and provides a pleasant freshness kick.
Treat yourself to this great fragrance at this great price while it’s still on the market. A wonderful feminine floral freshness that I can recommend at this price.
