Prada Infusion d'Iris?
Purple Rain and Infusion d'Iris smell the same, many write. Aha, exciting...
Since I love Infusion d'Iris, I had to test both fragrances of course :-) And together!
Two sprays of Purple Rain on the left and two sprays of Infusion d'Iris on the right. Lo and behold, they are indeed closely related and yet different. No big surprise for me, BUT:
Purple Rain: Starts off creamy-butty and stays creamier throughout. The scent is less citrusy and spicy. Purple Rain is denser. Seems fine, classy, noble and mature. This is exactly how I imagine an elegant fresh iris fragrance to be. For me, one of the best iris interpretations.
Infusion d'Iris: Nice everyday fragrance, an evergreen, seems more sporty and uncomplicated. Starts citrusy and stays citrusy and spicy throughout. Jeans on, T-shirt on and out...
At one point I caught the two relatives meeting at the common ground, then going their own ways again.
Although I've been wearing Infusion d'Iris for a long time and rated it a full 10, if I had to choose, I'd go with Olfactories - Purple Rain.
