Hidden niche juice
A niche fragrance hidden in a designer bottle, a true surprise from Prada in 2024. It opens with a burst of refreshing lemon, awakening the senses. At its heart, saffron adds a spicy richness, giving the perfume depth and character. The drydown reveals the best part—an ambered, woody scent crafted from smoky oakwood and Amber Xtreme molecules. In short, it’s a harmonious blend of freshness, elegance, and sensuality in a bottle.

With a lasting power of around 10 hours and an exceptional projection of 4 hours, this fragrance leaves a striking and memorable impression.

An citrus bomb
For me this is an fragrance that really got messed up in the process.

The initial opening to this is an citrus bomb, you can literally not smell anything else and its just too much. When you let it dry down you get this sweet feeling to it with the saffron combined with the lemon notes.

Overall this is an good fragrance if you can just overlook the initial opening.

First time experience
Purchased from : N/A
Price : N/A
Method : sampler vial sprayed onto right arm

Ok y'all. This was given to me by a generous salesman at Dillard's. I purchased a SpiceBomb sampler set and he threw in half a dozen samples without a single word from me. He was my hero for the evening, because I love trying new scents.

This is going to be my first time ever smelling this. I've not even tested it at the store. Let's snap open the package here and pull out the tester.

I'm going to just free-type this. The open reminds me of Cuba, instantly. So much lavender and tobacco. Man it's Cuba all the way. Lavender, honey, ylang-ylang, tobacco, vanilla...oh, now leaning sort of A*Men-ish? Am I getting chocolate-caramel-peppermint here?? Very much so. Okay, now this is A*Men, essentially, or rather Cuba's version of it. Like a cleaner, louder, slightly more assembled Cuba Prestige. Maybe that IS "A*Men". Haha.

Projection BEAST alert!! I'm getting huge jump from this one off the skin. Approach and about 5" away you have to back up. After 3 minutes on the skin it's giving me some patchouli, mandarin orange, ruby red grapefruit, and damp moss in exchange for some of the volume of the earlier notes. It gets more aligned but more complex. Note this is still smelling like a Cuba frag. (If anything that tells you how crazy good and unique they are for what they cost, Prada is imitating this age-old company).

I honestly don't get any of the listed notes, scrolling up. I got what I got, not going to erase a thing.

The full dry-down gives me more Prada Ocean signature notes and has a sparkly, moving, quality about it. I am finally getting some of the sweet lemon, but that's the only note listed above that I can perceive. Besides the massive Cuba Prestige/A*Men vibes I get, my experience reflects exactly opposite of what's listed for top, middle, base notes, if you can puzzle it together that way. The warm notes come first, and the bright notes come last. Did they change it?

I can't appropriately rate the longevity YET but I can only tell you it's probably going to be great because of how huge it is right now. I'll update the score when it fades.

Overall this seems like a pretty awesome A*Men substitute and pulls a lot from Cuba frags. That'll make some of you mad but I don't care, this is what I've got going on right here. Considering the influences, and how freely you can get these notes from other far less expensive colognes, it's probably not worth its price. Still not a bad scent, I'll gladly wear the rest of the vial.

The firsts steps
A round and striking amber-woody citrus scent.

Everyone likes this, and no one who smells it will dislike it. In my opinion, it's a must-have if you want to get started with perfumes a little more complex than a supermarket cologne and load up on a bottle of Axe Dark Temptation every time you go out to dinner, have a drink, or go to work with people around you indoors.

Very masculine and perfectly wearable if you already have at least a teeny mustache..

Of course, as soon as the thermometer starts to rise above X temperature, it's time to moderate. If you're going with 10 sprays as a base, then stick to 2 when it's hot, and that's great, because you can made it flexible and for every occasion

New Bottle - Familiar Scent?
…mostly yes!

If I had to compare the new fragrance from Prada, I would say it is very much reminiscent of Luna Rossa Ocean Eau de Toilette.
In some moments, especially in the transition from top to heart notes, I can also clearly see parallels to Luna Rossa Sport.
However, I personally found the latter less pleasant, as it simply does not feel rounded and harmonious. The new Le Parfum does this significantly better.

Nevertheless, and I think this should be clear to everyone, Prada is not reinventing the wheel here! One should approach such fragrances with a reasonable and rational expectation.

A Luna Rossa is a Luna Rossa, and I find it remarkable that Prada has created a fundamental DNA here that is consistently recognizable.
More specifically, I am talking about a rather elegant note, which is mostly perceived through fine powdery notes. This DNA resonates here as well, albeit somewhat less pronounced.

The fragrance starts with a distinct citrus note and is therefore quite fresh.
The heart note is gracefully skipped by the Prada newcomer, as I smell nothing of saffron here, which personally pleases me. Saffron is certainly on everyone's lips due to some fragrances, but it is not my world.

In contrast, the base note becomes much more apparent, into which the fragrance dives at breathtaking speed.
Sweetly appearing amber and a rather dry, woody note are quickly recognizable.
However, the fragrance initially loses very little of its freshness, which changes over time.
As is often the case, the citrus fades away, leaving behind a sweetness that shines on an amber base, paired with a still dry, woody note.

Sillage and projection are quite strong at the beginning, but after 1-2 hours, it noticeably flattens out. In terms of longevity, Prada lasts around 6-7 hours on my skin.

The bottle is quite successful, although the name and bottle color once again do not really match the fragrance, but that is nothing new and does not automatically make it bad. I find the spray head less appealing, but I feel that way about all Luna Rossa variants...

Conclusion:
Anyone who owns Luna Rossa Ocean Eau de Toilette and is satisfied with it will probably only need this when the bottle is empty.
For those who own Luna Rossa Sport and would like it to be rounder and a bit fresher on their wish list, a test would probably not be a bad idea.

The most underrated from the line, actually smells very very good and unique. Pleasantly surprised.

mugler pure malt cousin. to me, it doesn't perform well. I also don't get the whole ocean theme. Just call it red. Like you did with black.

Decent, but the scent doesn't touch the standard Luna Rossa Ocean, which smells similar to Myslf. This is too ambery in my opinion but not bad.
