An citrus bomb
For me this is an fragrance that really got messed up in the process.

The initial opening to this is an citrus bomb, you can literally not smell anything else and its just too much. When you let it dry down you get this sweet feeling to it with the saffron combined with the lemon notes.

Overall this is an good fragrance if you can just overlook the initial opening.

Hidden niche juice
A niche fragrance hidden in a designer bottle, a true surprise from Prada in 2024. It opens with a burst of refreshing lemon, awakening the senses. At its heart, saffron adds a spicy richness, giving the perfume depth and character. The drydown reveals the best part—an ambered, woody scent crafted from smoky oakwood and Amber Xtreme molecules. In short, it’s a harmonious blend of freshness, elegance, and sensuality in a bottle.

With a lasting power of around 10 hours and an exceptional projection of 4 hours, this fragrance leaves a striking and memorable impression.

New bottle - old familiar?
...largely yes!

If I had to compare the new fragrance from Prada, I would say it is very similar to Luna Rossa Ocean Eau de Toilette.
In some moments, especially in the transition from top to heart note, I can also clearly recognize parallels to Luna Rossa Sport.
However, I personally found the latter less pleasant, as it simply doesn't seem rounded and harmonious. The new Le Parfum does this much better.

Nevertheless, and I think this should be clear to everyone, Prada is not reinventing penicillin here! Such fragrances should therefore be approached with a correspondingly reasonable and rational expectation.

A Luna Rossa is a Luna Rossa and I find it remarkable that Prada has created a basic DNA here that is always recognizable.
To be more precise, I am talking here about a thoroughly elegant note, which can usually be perceived through fine powdery notes. This DNA is also present here, albeit somewhat less pronounced.

The fragrance starts with a clear citrus note and is therefore quite fresh.
The Prada newcomer gallantly skips the heart note, because I don't smell any saffron here, which I am personally pleased about. Saffron is certainly on everyone's lips thanks to some fragrances and yet it's not my world.

The base note, on the other hand, is much clearer, into which the fragrance plunges with breathtaking speed.
Sweetish amber and a rather dry, woody note are quickly recognizable.
Nevertheless, the fragrance loses little of its freshness at first, but this changes over time.
As is so often the case, the citrus fades and what remains is a sweetness that radiates on an amber base, paired with a continued dry, woody note.

Silage and projection are quite strong at the beginning, but after 1-2 hours the whole thing flattens out noticeably. In terms of staying power, Prada lasts around 6-7 hours on my skin.

The bottle is quite successful, although the name and bottle color once again don't really match the fragrance, but that's nothing new and doesn't automatically make the whole thing bad per se. I find the spray head less appealing, but that's the case with all Luna Rossa variants...

Conclusion:
If you own the Luna Rossa Ocean Eau de Toilette and are satisfied with it, you will probably only need it when the bottle is empty.
If you own a Luna Rossa Sport but would like it to be rounder and a little fresher, a test would probably not be a bad thing.

The lamb likes to wear Prada
Such a beautiful composition. The best created masterpiece by Prada in my opinion on par with Prada L' Homme Intense. Spicy and sweet, it reminds me of a mixture of Bleu de Chanel and Ambre Nuit by Dior. No fragrance from Prada has ever had these subtle, sweet and spicy notes - a truly unique fragrance that is not yet really established in the mainstream, so it's definitely a little insider tip. Yesterday I ate a tartare in Milan's city center and no perfume could have complemented it better than Le Parfum. I associate the scent with art, color and precious, elegant tables. If I then turn on the Prada track on Spotify, it's all over for me, I have to go straight to the nearest Prada store and buy something from Prada over 500 to get my Prada addiction under control.

The shimmering reddish ocean
By chance, I had seen that Prada had added another flanker to the Ocean range. As I'm not a fan of the rather trivial series with the confusing name, I hadn't followed it at all. But what the heck. It was worth a test.

And lo and behold: quite different than expected. And than indicated in the fragrance pyramid, because it leads you down the wrong path. Lemon? Saffron? No idea where they're hiding.

Right from the opening, Le Parfum opens with a sweet, spicy cherry that is reminiscent of a cherry coke. After a few moments, tobacco joins in and the heart note of the fragrance bears a strong resemblance to Mancera's Red Tobacco. There, the tobacco dominates more than in Prada, which focuses more on the cherry. Funnily enough, saffron and woods appear in the pyramid of both fragrances, but not the dominant cherry (or is it just me? Both flankons are not colored red by chance).

Spicy and slightly aquatic, it is also associated with shower gel. These notes become somewhat more dominant as the fragrance progresses, making it slightly different from Red Tobacco and fresher. In the base, however, the shower gel impression disappears again behind the tobacco. On the skin, I imagine a vanilla note as well as tobacco.

Is it now a Mancera dupe? Absolutely not. Because Red Tobacco is characterized by the strong tobacco note, which provides the depth in the background. However, it seems to me that a little inspiration has been taken from the niche house. However, if you like Mancera's tobacco and cherry combination or if Red Tobacco simply smells too intense, you should definitely give this fragrance a try.

The only drawback is the (still) high price. Because Manceras Power is available for almost the same money, which it probably doesn't quite justify.

mugler pure malt cousin. to me, it doesn't perform well. I also don't get the whole ocean theme. Just call it red. Like you did with black.

Decent, but the scent doesn't touch the standard Luna Rossa Ocean, which smells similar to Myslf. This is too ambery in my opinion but not bad.
