No Title, whatsoever...
An OK perfume, quite likeable when the licorice shows up.

It has a slight similarity with Bvlgari's Jasmin Noir L' Essence, which I already own and definitely prefer over Into The Void.

L'Essence has no patchouli and no papyrus (which does Into The Void no good, it makes it too impervious). Instead we have jasmin, almond, myrrhe and LOTS of tonka, creating a more wafty, creamy and deep perfume.

ITV has that typical JHAG vibe (clean patchouli), especially in the drydown, which makes it rather un-unique.

Sillage: moderate
Longevity: good

Into the Void - Into the Void, the Nothingness
The Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield said in an interview that the empty space between the planets in our solar system would smell like burnt steaks. Into the Void by Juliette Has a Gun certainly describes a different kind of emptiness.

This fragrance, which I consider the most important scent discovery in years, reminds me of the fresh, cool air of a starry spring night:

- I step up to the terrace door, which reflects my image against the complete darkness outside, and open it wide. As its outer side is now fogged with moisture and shines silver like a mirror in the moonlight, a pleasant chill seeps in from the night. My whole body begins to tremble, my skin reacts to the rapid temperature difference, making my lips quiver. The air is still saturated with the sweet scent of white spring flowers, coaxed from their delicate blooms by the milky-yellow spring sun. This fragrance calms me, warms me, relaxes me - completely. Now, in the night, it mingles with the moisture that gently settles on nature and will have formed countless frost pearls on everything outside by tomorrow morning - until the sun transforms them back into vapor. -

Into the Void reminds me (probably the black orchid?) of the lovely scent of the moonflower - #Cierge de Lune - a cactus flower that actually blooms at night. I find its fragrance absolutely enchanting, sensual, full of softness, wisdom, love, and silvery (moon)light. This dizzying scent in Into the Void is anchored by the heavy, dark-sweet aroma of licorice. In no fragrance I know does this note seem so well and skillfully woven as in this perfume. Here, licorice truly serves as a counterweight and opponent to the brighter nuance, as an anchor that grounds Into the Void in darkness and breaks the dizziness before one loses their footing.

Sweet tonka bean rounds off the fragrance. Cedar and guaiac add a very gentle, underlying woody spiciness. Patchouli, very delicate, veils Into the Void with a dark shroud.

For me, who has suddenly developed a strong addiction, the longevity alone is a small shock. This Juliette Has a Gun is (at least for me) a fleeting fragrance. Even on fabric, it disappears after a few hours, reminding me that it is always the most beautiful things in life that pass the quickest. On one hand, this makes me sad; on the other hand, it tempts me to use it lavishly. That’s how it should smell - if not continuously, then always and again and again.

In the Void, it Smells Softly Sweet and Woody
Hm, it's been a long time since I tested a Juliette fragrance, especially one of those more exclusive scents that also come in different bottles. Maybe it's because I've actually been a bit afraid of the prickly Juliette, who is supposedly armed (… I hope only with bottles… although those can hurt quite a bit if the fury throws them at your head!!).

No,… to tell the truth, I had simply lost interest in the Juliette fragrances for a while, as I have been meeting a freaky perfume enthusiast in perfumeries lately (oh yes, you, the one reading this, you know exactly that I mean you, mu ha ha ha!!! :D), who dragged me to niche perfumeries rather than testing such fragrances, and where I always feel somewhat lost or rather overwhelmed because I don't really know most niche scents and should really engage more with these fragrances. But that's another story, so now I turn my attention back to this Juliette here.

The name of the fragrance means "Into the Void," which sounds a bit mysterious, and that always heightens the anticipation for a scent, don't you think?

The Fragrance:
Ah, licorice! You immediately smell that black candy that you either love or absolutely detest. For my part, I enjoy many types of sweets, including licorice. Well, as a fragrance note, it's a bit unusual, but not necessarily bad. Softer fragrance notes come into play, it must be the powdery tonka bean that exudes that nice sweet note. Then I smell the woods, from which I can best detect the softer guaiac wood. I also recognize hints of oud. Not too strong, not too weak, just well and appropriately dosed.
Okay, now I'm having trouble picking out the black orchid because I'm not very familiar with its scent. There's something heavy-floral, but not dry-stuffy. It's difficult to describe since the floral note doesn't smell stronger and thus more prominent than the other notes like the tonka bean or the woods, but maybe that will change as the fragrance develops.
Later, I find the oud more detectable and am now also sure that oud is present, even though it wasn't mentioned. The powdery tonka bean continues to smell wonderfully delicious with its gentle sweetness, while the floral notes (and also the licorice) seem to fade a bit, so the orchids apparently won't become stronger after all. The woods form the foundation of the base, from which you can now also clearly recognize the cedar.
In the later base, the fragrance remains slightly powdery, soft, and sweet due to the tonka bean (though the sweetness also slightly resembles amber), but now the cedar radiates the most intensely, and you can still smell a bit of oud (somehow mixed with a bit of earthy patchouli).

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is quite good, making it very noticeable. When applied generously, it surely fills the room for a while.
The longevity is also pretty good. You can smell the fragrance well from morning until evening.

The Bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and has a black tint from the inside (or the fragrance liquid is dark, making the bottle appear tinted; I’m not exactly sure since I haven’t held this fragrance or the bottle myself). On the front, you can see the name and brand in beautiful golden lettering. The cap is also gilded, giving it a very high-quality but not flashy appearance. A bottle that looks somewhat simple but is still nicely designed.

So, hm yes, I find the fragrance quite successful. It is a soft yet still intense scent in terms of sillage, which smells pretty great of woods, powdery-sweet notes, and flowers. While the floral notes are rather subtle and thus not very feminine, the fragrance could potentially also be worn by men who enjoy softer and gentler scents.

The fragrance is of the type suitable for autumn and winter. I think it can be used as an all-rounder, meaning it fits well both during the day and in the evening for going out. Yes, I find the fragrance very nice and beautiful, and anyone who likes soft scents should definitely give this one a try.

And I… I’m sure I’ll hear from the Parfuma again soon because I just called her a freak. But she is indeed a freak! :D Why? Quite simply, because when we go to test fragrances, she always pulls out a piece of paper that never has less than 100 fragrances listed that she wants to test!! And she wants to test ALL of them, even if she can hardly smell anything after 25 fragrances :DD

In a world full of princesses I dare to be Batwoman
"Leave the earth to all tis sins and hate
Find another world where freedom waits
Past the stars in fields of ancient void
Through the shields of darkness where they find
Love upon a land a world unknown
Where the sons if freedom make their home"

This is the lyric from Black Sabbath's song "Into the void"

And it fits this fragrance so well.

A melancholic scent.
Black as the night.

A scent that also gives you strength.
Strength to see the positive even from a night full of tears.
Like the golden cap as the sun on the black bottle.

A scent for those longing.
Longing for feelings.
The ability to cry.
The ability to laugh.
To be able to hope!
Without pink clouds!
Like a superheroine trying to brighten the black of the night with stars! Not a unicorn glitter scent! A stardust scent.
Strong, elegant, profound. Grounded on sturdy woods.
Like a girl in kindergarten sitting in a Batgirl costume among pink princesses.
A scent that, despite its dark components, retains a soft heart through tonka. A cozy heart. With love, with consistency, with courage.
And yes, then I’m going to Iceland in October, standing in the middle of NOWHERE and damn it, seeing the Northern Lights!
On this mountain! The sky turns into the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
That's how it happened to me, and if there’s a scent I would have loved to wear at that moment, it would be this one.
Just as the Aurora was the most beautiful thing my eyes ever saw, this is the most beautiful scent I have ever smelled!

I hope you are not disappointed that I didn't break down the pyramid. It explains itself.
I wanted you to possibly understand what the scent evokes in me.

The ability to see beauty in darkness and melancholy.
The fact that black is not just black.
Compare the black of a licorice snail with that of a flower.
Everything is a matter of perception.

Thank you for reading!
I’m going to look for my Batwoman costume now.
I’ve never been Cinderella, but rather the dark version of a girl, like in Black Swan!
While I may not be physically fragile, I am on an emotional level!
And that makes it all the more wonderful for me that a scent shows me that one can be fragile and strong at the same time.

Through the universe the engines whine
Could it be the end of man and time?

No, your life begins when you want it to!
Dare to change your life if you are not happy.
Failing is better than never trying!
So be Pippi, not Annicka.
Be the heroine among the princesses.

Liquorice over oud and tonka, delightful opening. Base notes are generic JHAG; neat patchouli and synthetic woods. Could have been great...

On a black summer night by the smoking fire, the soft wood glows. Lush flowers enchant. We nibble on licorice + roll in tonka earth.

The problem with the scent seems to be the combination of strong florals, too much wood (yes, that can happen), and synthetics: It repels me!

The opening has a smoky cherry candy vibe. Then it becomes guaiac wood-spicy. It smells to me like Midnight Oud without the rose.

Lush heavy flowers grate a lot of licorice. Very dense, very long-lasting, very expansive. Beautiful, but can quickly become overwhelming.

Orchid, tonka, black cherry...."my little pony" cherry aroma with a base of Black Afgano, when the longevity fades. After about a week :)
