Playful summer vibes
#allnightlong I know you now want to rock on with some Lionel Richie right now. Ok, maybe not, joke aside, this new one from Monegal is without any doubt my favorite from the Ibiza line, I will go even further to say, it’s one of my favorite from Monegal, along size Faisa and Oud on Fire, but contrary to these two others, AllNightLong isn’t a very serious fragrance although very masterfully crafted, the perfume in itself is super fun and cheerful, making it looks a bit casual on a superficial approach, but underneath there’s a lot of layers to be discover, and makes this stand above many attempts on this style of perfumery.
The scent, to put it simply, it’s a fruity fragrance, but while most fragrances in this style go with a boring and simplistic approach, allnightlong takes this step a little further, what I particularly love about it are the subtle nuances, besides the almost pina colada vibe with the pineapple and what is to my nose, like a milky coconut (not exactly coconut so to say) there’s this fresh mint, not like your usual mint note in perfumery, more actually the real spearmint, straight into your blender while making a limonade, fresh and a bit green paired very well with a big dose of oakmoss and a very Ramon Monegal musk accord, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s iris in it too, creating this fluffy smooth musk. Besides all this, there’s this slight saltiness that alongside the musk and green facet helps this fragrance stay fresh, not too sweet and playful, full of life and joy.
