Interesting, Fresh Gourmand
I received the sample almost an eternity ago, so the sender might be wondering why I'm writing a comment about this fragrance right now.

Well, those who know me will understand that I am really into floral scents. Therefore, the classification and fragrance pyramid were incredibly interesting to me. I was almost euphoric; I just had to get to know it, especially since the comments that exist about this fragrance were unfortunately less informative for me personally. Please don't take it too much to heart, you two below me, as you are truly valued commentators.

When I finally sprayed the fragrance, I understood why the comments were as they were. Rem is just somehow completely indescribable; yes, I don't even find it floral. But it reminded me of something! I just didn't know what.
And now, while rummaging through my sample boxes, it hit me like a ton of bricks! This stuff smells like Stracciatella! About as if you melted Stracciatella ice cream and diluted it with ice water. Because it still doesn't smell creamy at all, but rather refreshing. The aldehydic aspect manifests in this fragrance like a metallic ice cream parlor freezer aroma. Very interesting and unique.

Pure Euphoria
Rem pour Homme was a blind buy. The fragrance was on sale and there was no tester left. But I never want to miss this scent again, as it triggers a real euphoria in me every time I use it.

So far, I haven't smelled a fragrance that evokes a similar reaction in me. I apply it and feel light and buoyant. Bad mood, what is that?! The fresh floral notes lift me a little off the ground and I float happily through the day.

This floating sensation lasts all day for me. The fragrance develops a subtle sweetness and somehow remains ethereal! Earthy patchouli? Not at all!

Throughout the day, a delicate note of woodruff adds to the ethereal lightness and completes my well-being.

In summer, I like to wear the fragrance when going out, and in the cold season, it is my antidepressant for gloomy days. Despite all its lightness, RpH is not an olfactory lightweight! Intensity and longevity are superb on my skin.

Turbulent Short-Haul Flight
Oops, I made a mistake. I thought I was testing Noir de Reminiscence, but it was actually Rem pour Homme. So I’ll quickly switch.

Rem pour Homme is bursting with aldehydes. You could just take off! They sit on a nice dry vanilla note that is not sweet at all. Additionally, there seems to be a hint of absinthe here. But it could also be some kitchen herbs that I’m smelling. I’m thinking of lovage or celery. Very spicy. This is all quite good. When vanilla is treated like this - dry and bitter - I can really get on board with it. While the vanilla gives the fragrance its substance, it has nothing sticky or sweet about it here. It reminds me a bit of the transparent vanilla in Jil Sanders Man Absolute. I can’t really pick out anything else that is officially listed as a component.

But these aldehydes - they make me dizzy! This perfume gives me flight anxiety!

After the fragrance settles a bit, the celery note recedes and integrates well. Oh yes, the listed floral notes of rose and violet are not identifiable; still, the attribute "floral" somehow comes to mind with this scent.

I want to stick with the flight anxiety imagery: starting jet engines, burning kerosene, sun rays on the airplane fuselage, a cold, blue sky, me squeezed in, buckled up, and it’s about to take off. That’s the story being told here.

Half an hour after takeoff, the flight anxiety subsides. Now the vanilla stirs. It describes the interior of the airplane, the artificial leather of the seats, the plastic packaging of the served snack. Finally, the plane prepares for a smooth landing. Yet a slight flutter in the stomach remains until the end.

For those who enjoy aldehydes on a dry base, this perfume comes highly recommended.

And he went into the sea.
Musk waves crashing, salty spray.
The body so sun-spiced.
Strange marshland. *

Maritime feeling with floral notes on a lightly spicy patchouli base. Rarely are aquatic scents so pleasant, cheerful, and soothing.

For me, this is the only scent where I like marine notes. They are contrasted here with sweeter notes and patchouli. Rem has after...

Rose, jasmine, and lilac
Don't let themselves be intimidated
They settle in the beautiful
A bit of woody melon rind
And off they go across the lake*

It strongly aligns with the line of marine salt scents. In this category, it’s truly one of the best. Beautifully combined with floral notes here.

Pretty much my thing: salty aquatic on a warm woody musk base usually works, especially now in summer. AdS as a comparison is good.
