Grown & sexy.

This is an amazingly simple, but manly fragrance.
If you love a dark smoky, gourmand fragrance.
Brother this scent is for you.
It's simply delicious and enters BEAST MODE (It projects, it last long and the sillage isn't a joke) YES!
Man, I believe I found a new favorite to add to my shelf.
Maybe strong enough to knock out my signature scent, Joop! Pour Homme.
I gotta give it another week, To see if it's worth the coup d'etat of Joop!.

I've received great comments thus far about this fragrance and I've only had it for one day.
Not a bad look.
I have to pick up back up bottles of this before others jump on the hype train. It gets discounted, reformulations, you know the story. I can't find in many, big-name retail stores...Outside of Roberto Cavalli Boutique & online discount fragrance stores.
It came out mid-2016 and no one broadcasted this?
Yeah...I guess.

But this will be a daily driver from now on.
This is worth a blind buy my friends, at least a decant.
And if you for some reason don't like it...Please hit me up and I'll take it off your hands. You can resell it and easily make your money back on eBay, Amazon. Letgo, Craiglist's, etc...
I used nine sprays...both wrist, behind my ears, back & front of my neck, chest, front and back of my shirt.
Will I buy this again?...Hell Yes!

Bitter sweet Mystery

When you spray it on it is lush, dense and mysterious. The honey nuisance along with the precious lavender add sweetness to this thick peppery violets' foliage.
As simple as it can get analysed the above notes hit you like a laser beam. It is a sexy but authoritative woodsy eau de toulette and I wish it stayed like that for as long as it lasts.
But on the drydown it gets a bit cloying. Perhaps the tonka bean is synthetic and it brings you memories of a soft Drakkar Noir in the end which the perfume composition could have avoided with a good quality tonka or amber.

Surprisingly Masculine

When I read the pyramid, I thought - bring it on - this could be something for you.

Honey, lavender, saffron - that appeals to me.
The scent is also quite appealing - but rather for the gentlemen of creation, and not exactly for the softer faction.

I envision my rugged forest master Mani, who bravely makes his way through any underbrush.

Because the honey note is clearly a more robust, resinous forest honey.
The ethereal lavender fits well with it - but also leans towards the more robust direction.
The cedar hovers woodily and smoky above it, giving the fragrance a solid foundation.
Uomo is not for the faint-hearted, as it makes a masculine statement.
However, it is not rough-hewn - just very self-assured.

Now Mani gets a surprise fragrance in between - but small gifts maintain friendship.

Potential for a "Hidden Gem"

Many years ago, as a teenager, I owned the Roberto Cavalli Just Cavalli for Him. At that time, it was my favorite fragrance, when I otherwise had nothing to do with the world of perfumes. But even back then, I had the impression that Cavalli had the potential to create scents that could stand out from the crowd.

Last year, I stumbled upon Roberto Cavalli Uomo by chance at TKMaxx. Occasionally, you can get lucky there and find nice fragrances. However, I had never heard of Cavalli Uomo until then, and since I didn't want to risk a blind buy despite the appealing price, I first checked the fragrance pyramid here on Parfumo. I immediately noticed "honey," which I really liked. The combination with black violet had to create a dark, mystical, and slightly sweet blend that could almost be unisex. That convinced me.

Although I had no idea what I was getting into with this scent at first, I liked it very much from the start. In fact, the fragrance can largely be classified as sweet-floral but in a rather masculine way. The black violet tends to make it an evening scent, although I also enjoy wearing it during the day.

Interestingly, while testing, I kept having associations with Tom Ford's Black Orchid. There are those dark-floral notes, which, however, are much more complex in Tom Ford's version. However, I find Black Orchid to be more feminine compared to Cavalli Uomo.

What is noticeable is that Cavalli Uomo has a really nice sillage. Even if you apply a few too many sprays and essentially wrap yourself in the fragrance, it is not aggressive. You can still be perceived from a distance. The floral character gradually transforms into a pleasant sweetness, so the honey is a constant companion. However, the honey here is quite synthetic, but I wouldn't deduct any points for that.

Overall, a pleasant men's fragrance that I believe is somewhat underrated. If you're looking for something elegant for cool autumn or winter evenings, you can definitely find it here.

Cavalli seems to be a brand that many do not fancy.
In comparison to its relatives, this colleague here is particularly affected.
When I first smelled Uomo in a perfume store, I fell in love immediately.
I really like the opening with its fine sweetness.
After a few minutes, a more pronounced honey comes to the fore, paired with a bit of wood.
Slightly sweet and masculine.
Well suited for autumn/winter on a date.
The only thing I would criticize about Uomo is the power.
The scent lasted about 5 hours on my skin, which is not bad at all, but the sillage is a bit weak.
However, for a price of €25, you can't really complain.

Sweet-spicy-flowery, but also pretty masculine. It starts with a beautiful spiced violet note and dries down to a (little) gourmand scent.
