A blind swap is to the perfumo what a blind date is to the average person. A little excitement, a little thrill... Is there a spark or can you not smell each other?
Paradiso Azzurro also came into my hands via such an exchange request. The fragrance was unknown to me, the pyramid did not contain anything that was completely not to my taste... What the heck, let's try it! If need be, it will move on.
... But he won't do that! It can stay! I think this really is my chance find of the summer! Even if the bottle is a bit kitschy and pretentious, it's a wonderfully aquatic, fresh summer fragrance without the dreaded men's sports shower gel vibes.
The fragrance starts with a slightly herbaceous bergamot, luckily I don't smell any lemon but also no explicit lavender. Too bad - I'm on a bit of a lavender kick at the moment and would have liked to see it more clearly here. We are definitely in warm climes, the sea is not far away but it is still pleasantly warm and a light breeze is blowing. The sky is baby blue.
And then the jasmine! Is it salty or aquatic jasmine? It doesn't matter! It is not restrained, has depth but remains fresh and does not become headache-sweet-floral. It doesn't overwhelm but is still very present. The spicy-woody base goes wonderfully with it!
Paradiso Azzurro creates a Mediterranean feeling for me, which is unfortunately drowned out by an annoying sunscreen note in the eponymous
French Riviera. You like
Pacific Drive but it's a little too masculine for you? Try the blue wonder here!
It's listed as a women's fragrance here, but if you're not averse to jasmine, I'd give it a try anyway. Without the musk and sweet notes, I think it's actually quite good for both sides.
What's more, my chance find has very good longevity, be careful with the dosage, less is more and is enough! And all at an affordable price - it works! I can even forgive the blingbling cap.
