Oh my god

Does anyone else smell eucalyptus in here? There's something that gives Lana a steamy spa-like allure that is sooo freaking captivating. I can't stop smelling my wrist!
As always with Santa Maria Novella, this is such a sophisticated scent. Definitely close to the skin, but oh so memorable. I am in love

i'm paraphrasing a review i posted on fragrantica a few months ago--i'm moving all my stuff over here but i couldn't not talk about my girl lana. i bought this on a trip to italy a few months ago: i tried it in store and left without it, but couldn't stop thinking about it for days, so i had to go back. i've worn it a TON since then. lactonic scents are often too cloying for me, but this one isn't too sweet. like sandalwood, figs, and rose petals steeped in milk. musky and understated, but with good sillage and longevity (especially for an eau de cologne). it's comforting, but still sophisticated. not overconfident, just comfortable. it's definitely not blind-buy safe: some people whom i've shown it to have really disliked it.

Ratatouille....well-cooked

I’m going to stick my neck out and invent a new fragrance category: the “Vegetable Gourmand”

LANA starts with a distinctly noticeable fig note.....mixed with something herbal......I can’t perceive cardamom - as I know it -....perhaps it’s not the pods but the leaves that have been used here..? That would at least explain the kitchen herb aspect....

Next comes the olfactory main impression of this fragrance: PAPRIKA.....to be specific “Ratatouille”......that’s exactly how it always smelled in my kitchen when I was going through my one-year vegan phase....

Unfortunately, you wait in vain for a dessert....it remains at “Ratatouille” ....a bit better cooked over time...

Musk and woods..? Hmm...well....with a lot of goodwill and an extraordinarily sensitive nose...maybe.....personally, I only perceive tiny little dots.....so to speak the “spices” in the Ratatouille....

I perceive LANA as an outright food scent....the “healthy” ones, of course.....the ones from the organic store....

No trace of LANA (wool)....it could of course be that the name reference to “wool” is more about the hand-knitted sheep wool sweaters of some organic consumers (shame on me ;-)..)

Even though I personally can’t relate to this “vegan kitchen atmosphere” at all, I can still imagine that the fragrance will find its followers....possibly among the PHILOSYKOS lovers.....Because: It’s definitely not poorly made :-)
