"Atropa Belladonna" is simply the poison of the belladonna, called atropine.
I can't understand why Shay & Blue chose this name for this summery light fragrance; it's not poisonous at all.
Rather cheerful and invigorating.
Just like "Framboise Noire", "Atropa Belladonna" is a fragrance of clear lines: without frills, without blurred contours.
These two fragrances remind me a little of different Jo Malone creations, which also carry this clarity in themselves and are therefore extremely pleasant to wear in summer.
I already got to know and love the bitter aroma of black currant in Shiseido's "Vocalise". Since then I have had a special fondness for it.
In nature, these fruits taste and smell a little chemical. They are mostly isolated and do not appear in panicles like their red relatives.
