Scarlet Lily Shay & Blue 2017

"Scarlet Lily" greets me with a heavy soapiness devoid of any floral sweetness, which I have never experienced with lily and ylang-ylang before. And I also remember lotus more with slightly green notes. This opening makes it clear right from the start that there will be no connection between the scarlet lily and me. Fortunately, SL retreats so much into the skin within 60 - 70 minutes that I literally have to sniff my skin to perceive any scent notes. And now there is also a hint of the floral sweetness that was missing at the beginning, which I now attribute to the amber, as it otherwise has no other recognizable purpose for me. So, with just this hint of "Scarlet Lily" on my skin, it leaves a clean feeling. And surprisingly, this hint is quite long-lasting - up to 10 hours.
