accidentally spilled my entire dabber bottle on myself.
this must have been how the scientists at the los alamos laboratory in new mexico felt on august 21st 1945 when the first demon core accident occurred. in an effort to aggressively apply this sample onto my arm, i lost my grip on it, sending the entire sample running down my arm. my limbs turned into sweet concrete while i frantically tried to spread the overdose to as much of my body as i could.
the startlingly real concrete note completely overpowered me- it was all i could smell, any stronger and i'd probably start seeing and hearing it too. i even wiped some of it off to try and save myself some from becoming totally encased. i should have put more faith into concrete forest however, because the concrete note very quickly gives way to the beautiful assortment of earthy green notes above.
the cucumber is pretty easy to pick out, though i wish it was stronger. i can't tell floral notes apart from each other for the most part, but if i had to guess, i would say the orange blossom is the most notable of them here. this scent is almost three dimensional, you can locate each note in its own physical space. the lower you go, the earthier and dirtier it gets, but this scent takes you into the trees and above as well if that's where your nose chooses to go.
overall, i was really happy to be the unwilling test subject in spilling an entire sampler bottle of this stuff on myself. of all the scents it could have been, i'm really glad it was this one. concrete forest is such an easy scent to wear, even at extreme levels. i'm going to miss my sample, but i might be convinced to get myself a full bottle of this after what i've been through. what i have with this scent is more than i have with many of my samples- a shared moment i will always remember it for.
