Another desert wind?
Another desert scent, then. The Sahara. Freezing cold at night, burning hot sun by day. Well, I don't find the tension in this fragrance quite so extreme, but it plays skilfully with the facets warm and cool, also with the starry sky and the bright sun. But I also find the highest mountain peak beside the desert. The fragrance lives from clear air and mineral rock as well as from the heat in the desert sand
The essence for AugustA's nose: salt, cinnamon and incense. Not massive, rather airy, the scent is very typical TDC for me. It doesn't hold it on my arm for too long, and after about five hours it leaves a silver smoky tail and a hint of wanderlust, blowing away the last hint of oriental density in the fragrance. In the end, the smoke exhales a balmy softness. An exceptionally beautifully made fragrance that reminds me of Lillipur by T.Terenzi

Of moonlight and silence...
I love night walks in nature - away from any artificial brightness of village and city. When the moon in its dusky light illuminates the whole world and dips it into a mystic silver-grey, which has so many iridescent shimmerings, that on closer inspection it develops its own play without betraying the colour that things have during the day.

Al Sahra tells about the moonlight as it hits the earth. Smells like the image of the moon itself, reflected on wet stone and in calm water. Especially at the beginning Al Sahra surprises with a cool, grey kind. Mineral notes as an apt description, it smells like cold, damp stone, like the smell of rain on asphalt, like exactly the smell when night triumphs over day and the water settles in small droplets all over the world. In this silver-grey moonlit night, violets stand, not bright purple, but fragile, and as if made of glass, they give off much less a scent than a soft clink of their fragile flowers.

And yet, life reigns - a familiar warmth, a tenderly blooming rose and, far away, a group of serene people in this sparkling desert, where every single, clear grain of sand tries to shine. A hint of the faded perfume of the day wafts over, quiet ambergris, the smell of bare skin. And coming closer, the fire around which the caravan sits makes the silver light of the moon dry up and brings its yellow-warm glow. Patchouli, woods and delicate spices come to the fore and make the scent darker and warmer. A cool incense takes over the role of the mineral notes, until after many hours hardly more remains than the last breaths of the deep dark red glowing sandalwood glow.

The Different Company grabbed me with this fragrance and its story. I find a fragrance here that authentically tells what its description promises. For me it is absolutely unisex and despite its complex and split nature it is still very (and on many occasions) wearable
