A long summer day

Basically a more citrussy, more hesperidic version of an old classic, in this case a sibling of "Eau de Rochas". Wonderful for ample use in hot weather, this new Cologne is a perfect friend for a long summer day, which it epitomizes. The top notes with their gorgeous freshness represent a summer morning, while the base gives way to a deeper woodland evening summer call made of of gaiac wood and patchouli. The languid sensuousness of this great new cologne is wonderful and the development is very enjoyable. Limon de Cordoza floats beautifully on the air in summer, neither too weak nor too strong. I like its unpretentious charm.

Limon de Pledge

I was taken aback a bit by the Lemon Pledge opening of The Different Company LIMON DE CORDOZA, but it clears out fairly swiftly. leaving behind more of a mixed citrus scent with just a touch of sweetness. The drydown offers a detectable albeit light waft of patchouli.

I compared this fragrance side-by-side with Annick Goutal EAU D'HADRIEN, and the latter seemed more complex and appealing to me. It also had much better longevity. Still, the combination of notes in LIMON DE CORDOZ is interesting enough to warrant testing by amateurs of citrus scents.
