happy green
Crushed is a bright, pretty, green, grassy jasmine demi-soliflor. It’s delish and it’s balanced. It has a buoyant sweetness that the cloying fruity-florals of the world should emulate. The name says it all. It smells like a handful of springtime grass, stems and flowers rubbed together in your hands and sniffed.

It smells fantastic, but is it a perfume? I love to smell it out of the bottle and even on my skin, but I find I never wear it. It captures my difficulty with the three Tokyomilk Dark series I’ve tried (Excess, Arsenic and Crushed). Crushed is effectively a base, closer to a scent than a fragrance. I wouldn’t complain if I smelled this on someone else, but I prefer to wear a true perfume. That said, Crushed, with its inherent Spring briskness, would be a great alternative for any man who wears a fragrance with “fresh” or “sport” in its name.

Eau d'compost
Yes, eau d'compost - like it or lump it that's all I can say about this one. No flowers, just mouldering hay and dirt really. I love moss, and earthy can be good but I'm not sure Crushed pulls it off - love the bottle though.

'Goblincore' but make it perfume
I've been looking for a forest scent that doesn't make me think of toilet cleaner (pine quickly gives that association), but that evokes the scent of the undergrowth, the fungi, grass, snails, worms and petrichor, with ever a bit of sweetness of a single flower hidden somewhere in the brambles. Crushed is that scent for me. Unlike Chypre Mousse by Oriza L. Legrand, which is based on the same idea but with a more art nouveau/vintage execution, Crushed is almost a literal interpretation. It's very indie coded and I love that about it.

It's unfortunate that it has been discontinued, so it only pops up on eBay now. But it truly is the goblincore aesthetic in a bottle.

"Herbs Fresh from the Herb Garden"
A perfume from the Tokyo Milk Dark line. All scents in this series come in matte black bottles with their numbering on the side and a white symbolic image on the front. It reminds me of the symbols that appear in the TV series "Fringe." The perfume appears very mysterious, which drew me in magically; I absolutely had to test some of them.
This one, number 32, features the image of a butterfly, more like an X-ray of a butterfly.

Now to the scent:
It starts fresh and cool. The scent of fresh grass and herbs in the top note. I think I can recognize basil. Then a delicate jasmine note, very light and airy, blends in with the green notes. In the background, there's the smell of moss on a damp forest floor. A hint of jasmine on a bed of moss.
A perfume that does without sweet, fruity, or woody notes.
Very balanced and harmonious. The grass note is not overpowering or sharp but creates a beautiful harmony with the other components, none of which push themselves to the forefront. Over time, the herbal notes gain the upper hand, not by much, just a little. However, these are not "herbaceous" or even artificial scents that I recognize, but truly a natural scent of "herbs fresh from the herb garden."
Unisex? Yes, I think so.

Forest Floor
I also find that Crushed is a very rounded scent. None of the notes stand out; I only smell something very, very lightly sweet (Jasmine) -- it is truly an earthy, soft, slightly green fragrance. As I have noticed with all Tokyo Milk scents so far, you need to smell the fragrance from a slight distance and not press your nose hard against the liquid -- because up close, there are always highly synthetic notes in it that I really don't like.
All in all, Crushed is a pleasant, interesting scent that confusingly is not nearly as dark as I had hoped (and as the name suggests), and it is also not something I would wear as a perfume.

Garden idyll - freshly mowed grass, freshly chlorinated pool, and a fresh bouquet of jasmine. At 36°C in the shade, it's too much of a good thing for me.

Through a chemically green note on tolerably muted jasmine. Does it smell like forest floor? Not for me.

A forest fairy with an opulent jasmine flower crown in her hair scatters the strongly scented blossoms on a mossy carpet…

Less earthy-grassy than expected, more synthetic-green, artificial nature, yet not unpleasant, rather charming and unique.
